IT Specialist l


Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an IT Specialist l. In this role, you will be part of an IT team responsible for the successful overall analysis, development, enhancement, testing, implementation, installation, monitoring, operation, support and maintenance of our Kalahari applications/systems, analytical & guest-facing platforms/environments, end user computers, devices, audio and visual equipment.


As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll help deliver a seamless guest and associate experience by supporting the technology and systems that keep resort operations running smoothly. This role quickly resolves technical issues and collaborates with business teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology across the property.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Install and maintain software, security levels, and user access rights.
  • Provide timely technical support and ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Manage IT help desk tickets and provide remote assistance.
  • Maintain accurate IT assets and systems inventory records.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant software, network applications, and systems.
  • Follow Change Management and Technical Documentation standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with IT teams and system users to support daily operations.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Must have a background, consisting of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems from a four-year college or university; or recently graduated to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience supporting business applications, hardware, and platforms in hospitality, restaurant, gaming, retail, or entertainment environments.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, property management systems, tablets, kiosks, payment systems, APIs, and other integrated technologies.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and supporting technology solutions within enterprise architecture and technical standards.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, databases, data integrations, APIs, and data/reporting platforms such as Snowflake or Teradata.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security, data privacy, compliance, and access management, including PII, PCI, SOX, GDPR/CCPA, and SSO.
  • Experience with IT support processes, ITIL practices, and tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Ability to work with third-party vendors and support change management across development, QA, and production environments.
  • Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to respond to business and operational needs effectively.
  • Team player willing to provide support and collaborate as needed.
  • You would participate in a team on-call rotation, available to work some off-hours and weekends, on a flexible schedule on-site.
