About Outdoorsy

Outdoorsy transformed access to the outdoors with the launch of its RV rental marketplace in 2015, and expanded to offer marketplace insurance in 2018. Today, Outdoorsy's partnership with its hosts has resulted in over 7 million travel days through RV rentals that are available in 4,800 cities across North America. Outdoorsy was named one of Fast Company’s ‘Most Innovative Companies’ in 2023 and celebrated over $3b in revenue in 2024.

Outdoorsy's team is inspired by a mission to restore our relationship with the outdoors and each other by inviting guests to Live Outdoorsy. Storytelling and community building have been an integral reason for our company’s growth and as we approach our 10th year we are looking to further invest in this area. This role will help tell the stories that inspire travel and appreciation of the outdoors for families everywhere.

Who you are

You are passionate about designing products and creating exceptional consumer experiences for two-sided marketplaces, particularly in the realms of outdoor travel and recreation. You either intuitively understand—or are driven to deeply explore—what our guests and hosts desire in well-designed product experiences. With a proven track record of creating outstanding products, you have the ability to translate ideas into successful deployments.

You are a natural leader who attracts top talent. At Outdoorsy, we follow a "Bar Raiser" philosophy, where each new hire is better than the last and has the ability to attract even stronger talent. You are obsessed with something (and we’re excited to learn what it is!)—something you can’t stop thinking about and continuously make progress toward mastering.

You bring a successful track record from both startups and larger, growth-focused tech companies. This role requires creative ideation combined with rapid execution, demanding a dynamic approach and the ability to rigorously deliver results without being overly fixated on process.

If you’ve ever dreamed of building the next AllTrails or REI, you’re in the right place. At Outdoorsy, you’ll discover, pitch, and lead projects with a focus on transformation. You will use design as a strategic tool to shape product decisions and ensure Outdoorsy delivers cohesive, compelling experiences across all platforms.
