The Role

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Data Organization and lead efforts to evolve our internal platform into a world-class, stakeholder-aligned product.  This role is central to our mission of treating Data as a Product, ensuring our teams and stakeholders can rely on scalable, high-quality, and cost-effective data systems across Realtor.com.

You’ll help shape and operationalize the product vision for our end-to-end data platform, which powers everything from clickstream ingestion and pipeline reliability to analytics access and governance.  You’ll bring both technical fluency and strategic product thinking, working closely with engineers, analysts, and cross-functional business partners to understand needs, align priorities, and drive data product evolution.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role balancing product strategy with execution from stakeholder enablement and backlog management to TPM-style delivery support and Voice-of-Customer (VOC) synthesis  You’ll also manage the portfolio of Data Org products and services, maintain top-line metrics, and support roadmap investment decisions across the platform.

If you’re excited about building trusted, performant data systems and enjoy marrying product strategy with technical execution, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and evolve the product vision for the data platform and related products, ensuring alignment with company goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Apply a product mindset to data, driving measurable impact across pipelines, services, and tools focused on quality, accessibility, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead structured VOC efforts (surveys, workshops, 1:1s) to prioritize platform pain points and uncover innovation opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage a portfolio inventory of Data Org products and services.  Define investment cases, inform deprecation, and align work to OKRs.
  • Drive delivery of cross-functional initiatives with TPM-style oversight ensuring scoping, staffing, and execution transparency.
  • Facilitate the innovation flywheel, translating VOC and usage metrics into quarterly planning and bi-annual stakeholder reviews.
  • Evangelize platform value through demos, release notes, and storytelling that showcases data product progress and impact.
  • Measure what matters by establishing and tracking OKRs and product health metrics, using data-driven insights to inform prioritization and investment tradeoffs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management ideally focused on data platforms, internal tooling, or platform enablement
  • Strong technical foundation, able to engage fluently with software engineers, dive into architecture diagrams, APIs, release plans, and ask the right questions
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and translating complex needs into clear priorities
  • Demonstrated success driving data or infrastructure products that span ingestion, transformation, analytics, governance, or observability
  • Experience defining and tracking OKRs, usage metrics, and impact narratives
  • Strong organizational and executional skills proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving complex efforts across multiple teams
  • Bonus: Experience in real estate tech, analytics platforms, or platform-as-a-product thinking at scale
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred
