Duties: Execute solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems. Work in an Agile development environment with team members, including Product Owners. Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations. Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing. Serve as a subject matter expert and influence peers and project decision makers to consider the use of leading-edge technologies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on coding standards, best practices, and design patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to align on technical requirements, project timelines, and deliverables. Conduct technical interviews to assess candidates programming skills, system design knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. Research and explore new automation methods through independent study, attending industry-leading conferences for production support tasks automation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Application Developer, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Developing backend systems in Java, including JDK 8 or higher using Spring Boot; building RESTful APIs and integrating them with AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases using Spring Data JPA with Hibernate; applying query optimization techniques and managing transactional workflows; managing real-time data ingestion pipelines using Kafka and RabbitMQ; designing aggregation pipelines and indexing strategies for unstructured data in MongoDB. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: executing serverless SQL queries with AWS Athena; managing and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes, with Helm charts for deployment and Karpenter for autoscaling. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Developing high-performance applications in distributed environments through Java concurrency frameworks, including Akka; building enterprise-grade UI applications in React, including implementing custom hooks for reusable business logic, state management using Redux Toolkit in multi-module applications, and routing strategies with React Router v6+; implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms and integrating identity federation using ADFS; designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end bigdata platforms and ETL pipelines to process terabyte-scale datasets; executing workflows through AWS Glue and performing warehousing in Amazon Redshift; enabling secure, efficient file transfers from on-premises to cloud environments; implementing security and access controls using AWS IAM; configuring security features in ALB and NLB including WAF integration and SSL termination; configuring monitoring and observability features with Datadog; implementing metric collection, alerting policies, distributing tracing, and real-time performance dashboards; orchestrating CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and Spinnaker across development, testing, and production environments.
