Title: Lifecycle Marketing Operations Manager

Location: Austin, TX | Dallas, TX | Morristown, NJ | San Jose, CA  (Hybrid)

Reporting to: Sr. Manager, Lifecycle Marketing

About Hippo:

Hippo was built on a promise: make homeownership effortless. Nearly a decade later, that mission still drives us. We use technology and data to help our customers stay ahead of problems and protect what matters most.

Today, that same tech-native approach powers our work beyond homeowners. Hippo operates as a diversified carrier platform, partnering with MGAs to deliver tailored program solutions that help them grow and deliver better customer experiences. Behind that work is a team that values ownership, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

If you're energized by building what's next, we'd love to meet you.

About This Role:

We're looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Operations Manager to be the connective tissue behind our lifecycle marketing programs. This role owns the operational backbone that lets our campaigns run smoothly, compliantly, and on accurate data — coordinating with Legal on approvals, managing reporting requests from stakeholders, and maintaining the health of our ESP (email/SMS/push platform) data and systems.

This role sits inside Lifecycle Marketing and is purpose-built around the operational, compliance, and data workflows that keep our campaigns running, with marketing operations and governance at its core.

About You:

You're the connective tissue that keeps lifecycle marketing running — someone who's just as comfortable digging into ESP data and segmentation logic as they are coordinating approvals with Legal. You bring 3-5 years of marketing operations or CRM experience, hands-on knowledge of a major ESP, and a knack for turning raw campaign data into clear answers for stakeholders. You're a low-ego communicator who keeps requests moving and helps get content-related automations and testing set up within your team's email sending platform, without needing to own the reviews yourself.

What You'll Do:

Cross-Functional Campaign Support

  • Coordinate the operational logistics around campaign launches — approvals, QA checklists, data validation — without owning creative strategy or campaign timelines (that stays with the lifecycle marketing strategists/managers)
  • Act as the point person other teams go to when they need something from lifecycle marketing (data, reporting, compliance status), keeping the core team focused on strategy and execution

Reporting & Stakeholder Requests

  • Own the intake and triage process for reporting and campaign requests from internal stakeholders (leadership, sales, product, finance)
  • Build and maintain recurring reporting workflows so standard requests are self-serve or fast to fulfill
  • Partner with Analytics/BI to ensure lifecycle marketing metrics are accurate, consistently defined, and audit-ready
  • Translate raw campaign data into clear, decision-ready summaries for non-marketing stakeholders
  • Keep stakeholders informed on campaign status and launch timing, providing clear, proactive updates so teams downstream (sales, CX, product, etc)

ESP & Data Management

  • Manage day-to-day data hygiene, segmentation logic, and list management within the ESP(s) [ex. Braze, Customer.io, Iterable]
  • Own data governance for lifecycle marketing: suppression lists, consent/preference data, field mapping, and integration health between the ESP and upstream data sources (CRM, CDP, data warehouse)
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues that affect campaign targeting or reporting accuracy
  • Maintain documentation of data schemas, naming conventions, and workflows so the system stays auditable and scalable

Legal & Compliance Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Lifecycle Marketing, Content and Legal/Compliance for campaign reviews, approvals, and sign-offs
  • Track copy and content review requests through to resolution, ensuring nothing stalls in the queue and deadlines are met
  • Maintain a clear record of approved language, disclosures, and compliance requirements so the team isn't re-litigating the same questions campaign after campaign
  • Flag regulatory or compliance risk areas proactively (ex. TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA/state privacy law considerations) before they become blockers

Must Haves:

  • 3-5 years in marketing operations, lifecycle/CRM marketing, or a similar hybrid marketing + data/compliance role
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major ESP (Braze, Customer.io, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
  • Comfort working directly with Legal/Compliance stakeholders and translating legal requirements into marketing-team practice
  • Strong data literacy — comfortable in spreadsheets, SQL a plus, and confident building/maintaining reporting dashboards
  • Excellent organizational instincts, eagerly applied to marketing operations and governance
  • Clear, low-ego communicator who can manage multiple stakeholder requests without dropping details
