Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor, located in Austin Texas.  Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administer procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

           Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise a shift of workers building subassemblies and units    
    Communicate with lead workers, planners and others as necessary to review status of jobs and priorities    
    Facilitate a smooth transition of work and products between shifts and among work groups    
    Review product prints, material lists, bill of materials and such to determine production methods and identify needs and requirements    
  • Anticipates, follows up and resolves problems, material shortages and equipment repairs    
    Estimate personnel needs and assign work to meet objectives    
  • Manage staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and improve staff    
     

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  •  Good people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach, and motivate employees    
  • Good verbal and written communication skills    
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.    


    Desired Education, Certifications and Experience

  • 3-4+ years manufacturing or related work experience     

  • B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience    

  • Previous supervisory experience
