Title and Summary
Market & Customer Intelligence Manager
Mastercard's Services organization is a key growth engine, delivering data-driven insights, analytics, and AI-powered solutions that enable clients to make smarter decisions and achieve better outcomes. Within Services, the Business & Market Insights (BMI) organization builds and commercializes analytics, experimentation, and decisioning products across financial and non-financial industries.
We are driving the next evolution of Advanced Analytics by scaling insight-led decision making across our business. This role within Strategy & Operations will play a core role in supporting a unified view of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer needs to shape strategy and accelerate growth.
The Market & Customer Intelligence Manager will partner closely with Product, GTM, Engineering, and Leadership teams to ensure that market signals, customer insights, and competitive intelligence are systematically translated into clear actions that inform product roadmaps, investment priorities, and commercial strategy.
Role
Design and support a structured Voice of Customer (VoC) program, integrating input from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, and synthesizing insights into clear, actionable themes.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and competitive opportunities.
Evaluate potential areas for partnerships and / or acquisition based on Advanced Analytics' strategic priorities
Develop strategy presentations and memos for executives
Cross functional collaboration across AA and the Services organization to drive key initiatives.
Develop a deep understanding of the Advanced Analytics business line across geographies and products.
Contribute to the development and scaling of a Market Intelligence CoE, including frameworks, tools, and best practices across Advanced Analytics.
Conduct structured industry, competitor, and ecosystem analysis to inform strategy, identify differentiation, and generate consistent, scalable insights across programs and regions.
Monitor and synthesize consumer, competitive, regulatory, and macroeconomic trends, developing forward-looking perspectives on market evolution, risks, and emerging technologies.
Identify white space opportunities, emerging customer needs, and underserved segments to support TAM expansion, new use cases, and growth initiatives.
Act as a connector between market intelligence and execution teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and driving insight-led decision making.
All about you
5+ years of consulting experience at a leading consulting firm and/or internal strategy units Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen; seasoned in identifying the most critical aspects of a problem and handling ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to lead company-wide complex projects from start to finish, effectively driving forward project plans and leveraging stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience working with large global clients or at global organizations, with a proven track record of building long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders across the globe
Able to contribute to the development of insight capabilities, programs, or analytical frameworks preferred.
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources (quantitative and qualitative) into compelling narratives.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for a range of audiences.
