Job Summary

The Marketing Insights Strategist - AI is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and communicating emerging trends, technologies, partnerships, and market developments shaping the future of artificial intelligence and adjacent technology markets.
This role serves as a strategic research and intelligence resource for Product Marketing, business unit leadership, and executive stakeholders. The Marketing Insights Strategist monitors industry developments, competitive activity, startup ecosystems, analyst research, partner landscapes, and customer adoption trends to help SHI anticipate market opportunities and make informed business decisions.
Working closely with Product Marketing Managers and portfolio leadership, this individual translates complex market signals into actionable insights that support strategic planning, technology evaluation, partner prioritization, portfolio development, and go-to-market initiatives. The role also identifies opportunities for collaboration across SHI business units, helping create cross-pillar solutions that better address evolving customer needs.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytically minded, and passionate about emerging technologies, with a particular interest in artificial intelligence and its potential to create new customer, partner, and business opportunities.

Role Description

  • Monitor and analyze emerging developments across artificial intelligence, machine learning, agentic AI, data platforms, automation, and adjacent technology markets.

  • Conduct ongoing market research covering industry trends, technology adoption patterns, investment activity, startup ecosystems, analyst perspectives, and competitive developments.

  • Identify emerging technologies, solution categories, and market opportunities that may have strategic relevance for SHI and its customers.

  • Develop market intelligence reports, trend analyses, executive briefings, and strategic recommendations for business and marketing leadership.

  • Identify emerging technology partners, vendors, startups, and ecosystem opportunities that may create strategic value for SHI and its customers.

  • Evaluate potential partnerships and technology alliances by assessing market relevance, customer demand, competitive differentiation, and long-term growth potential.

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration across SHI business units and technology practices, helping develop integrated solutions that address broader customer business challenges.

  • Monitor customer buying trends and market shifts to uncover opportunities for new solution offerings, partner relationships, and cross-pillar initiatives.

  • Produce strategic recommendations that connect emerging technologies, partner ecosystems, and SHI capabilities into actionable growth opportunities.

  • Support Product Marketing Managers with market research, competitive analysis, customer insights, positioning, and messaging development.

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand emerging technology priorities and provide relevant market intelligence and strategic recommendations.

  • Track competitor positioning, product announcements, acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and go-to-market activities.

  • Create executive-ready presentations that communicate complex industry trends and their potential business impact.

  • Assist in the development of thought leadership content, strategic narratives, keynote themes, and future-focused marketing initiatives.

  • Support portfolio leaders in evaluating future market adjacencies, emerging solution areas, and expansion opportunities.

  • Maintain market intelligence frameworks, research repositories, and reporting processes that improve organizational awareness of emerging trends.

  • Leverage AI-powered research tools and data sources to enhance research efficiency and insight generation.

  • Serve as an internal advocate for continuous learning and awareness of emerging technologies.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in market intelligence, research, product marketing, consulting, analyst relations, strategy, or related disciplines.

  • Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and technology industry trends.

  • Experience conducting primary and secondary research and producing executive-level analysis.

  • Strong presentation, writing, and communication capabilities.

  • Ability to analyze complex information and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

  • Ability to connect market trends, customer requirements, and organizational capabilities into recommendations for future growth.

  • Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events (15%)

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 which includes a base salary.. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
