About the Role

As the MDM Product Owner & Data Governance Lead, you will serve as the business-facing owner for YETI’s Product Master Data MDM capability and lead the governance operating model required to sustain data quality, ownership, stewardship, and adoption. You will define and prioritize the Product MDM roadmap and backlog, translate governance needs into MDM capabilities and workflows, and partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure product data standards are adopted across Salsify, SAP, MDM, ecommerce, supply chain, finance, compliance, and reporting. This role will track progress, manage risks, define success metrics, and drive measurable business value from MDM.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the business-facing Product MDM vision, roadmap, backlog, priorities, and value realization in partnership with IT and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead the Product Master Data governance operating model, including data ownership, stewardship, decision rights, governance cadence, escalation, policy, and process management.
  • Define and maintain product data standards, attribute ownership, lifecycle rules, hierarchy standards, required attributes, data quality expectations, and launch readiness criteria.
  • Translate business and governance needs into MDM capabilities, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, enhancement priorities, and release readiness requirements.
  • Coordinate end-to-end product data alignment across Salsify, SAP, MDM, ecommerce, planning, supply chain, finance, compliance, reporting, and related enterprise platforms.
  • Establish and monitor Product MDM and data governance KPIs, including completeness, accuracy, duplicate rates, launch readiness, issue aging, stewardship participation, adoption, and value realization.
  • Drive change management, stakeholder communications, training, and adoption strategies to promote new MDM capabilities, governance routines, and business process changes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Greater than 8 years of relevant work experience, including:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MDM, product master data, data governance, product ownership, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading large-scale digital, data, MDM, SAP, or business transformation initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience defining and prioritizing product roadmaps, backlogs, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release readiness for enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with Product MDM implementation, product data lifecycle management, Salsify, SAP, ecommerce, supply chain, finance, or reporting processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, facilitation, prioritization, and executive reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of MDM, data governance frameworks, data quality, stewardship, business glossary, data catalog, lineage, compliance, and product master data management principles.
  • Certification in data management or governance, such as DAMA CDMP or a recognized data governance certification, is a plus.
  • Retail or consumer products experience is a plus.
