Modernize.com is a fast-growing, tech-forward company operating in the home improvement space. We work with the largest home improvement service providers as well as the plumber down the street. We are owned by Quinstreet(NSDQ: QNST) a marketing services provider to a variety of verticals like insurance and personal loans as well We're looking for a dynamic, people-oriented Partnerships & Field Marketing Manager to join our team and own relationship development, co-marketing efforts, and field marketing execution. 

Job Category

As our Partnerships & Field Marketing Manager, you’ll be the bridge between our software partners, industry networks, and sales teams. You’ll be part relationship-builder, part marketer, and part sales enabler—actively driving opportunities through partner engagement, events, and co-branded campaigns. 

You’ll need to be a confident communicator with a bias for action, comfortable initiating conversations, navigating partnerships, and representing the brand in both digital and in-person channels. 

This is a highly collaborative individual contributor role with direct impact on partner growth, lead generation, and brand visibility. 

This will be a hybrid role and our office is located in Austin, Texas.


Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development 
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with software partners, platforms, and industry associations. 
    • Regularly engage partners to source referrals, co-marketing opportunities, and event collaborations. 
    • Develop and manage a partner outreach and communication cadence.
  • Field Marketing & Events 
    • Plan, coordinate, and attend industry events, trade shows, and partner activations (virtual and in-person). 
    • Serve as the face of the company at regional or national events; drive engagement and lead capture. 
    • Work cross-functionally to develop event strategies that align with sales and marketing goals. 
  • Sales Enablement & Content Gathering 
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify partner needs and co-create campaign assets. 
    • Source marketing materials, testimonials, and value-driven content from partners. 
    • Help facilitate warm introductions and partner-driven leads to the sales team. 
  • Tech & AI Fluency 
    • Use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation tools, and partner platforms effectively. 
    • Understand and leverage AI tools to increase outreach productivity and content creation. 
  • Communication & Coordination 
    • Communicate clearly and professionally in written messages, presentations, and virtual meetings. 
    • Coordinate with internal teams to share partner insights, campaign performance, and field learnings. 
    • You will be working closely with Demand Gen and Product marketing so an understanding of those roles is a benefit. 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in partnerships, field marketing, or partner sales—ideally in tech or home improvement. 
  • Previous experience managing partner relationships, marketing events, and/or co-branded campaigns. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy in an individual contributor role. 
  • Familiarity with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), marketing tools (e.g., Eloqua), and AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT). 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Based in or near Austin, TX (preferred) with ability to travel for events as needed. 
  • Travel is required in this role, up to 25%

Nice-to-Haves 

  • Knowledge of the home improvement or contractor services industry. 
  • Existing relationships in the SaaS or field service tech space. 
  • Experience working with channel sales or partner marketing teams.

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 USD to $85,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
