Fueling your passion 

As a Petrochemical & Process Fouling Control Technical Support Specialist, you are applying engineering and chemistry principles to diagnose fouling issues, support customer applications, and guide solution development. You are collaborating with cross functional teams, mentoring others as an SME, and supporting customers in troubleshooting, bids, and proposals. You are working with autonomy while contributing to reliability improvement, equipment performance, and operational excellence. 

As a Technical Support Specialist, you are being responsible for: 

  • Applying process engineering methodologies for requirement definition, analysis, and risk evaluation 
  • Supporting cross functional teams with technical, commercial, and application insights 
  • Engaging with customers for troubleshooting, solution scoping, bids, and proposals 
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance as a subject matter expert 
  • Leading or assisting projects to improve performance, cost, or reliability 
  • Analyzing fouling mechanisms in petrochemical and refinery operations including steam cracking, butadiene extraction, styrene purification, and refining units 
  • Evaluating equipment such as piping, valves, rotating equipment, absorbers, distillation columns, fired heaters, and heat exchangers 
  • Supporting corrosion, emulsions, foaming, and fuel related challenges 
  • Advising on design for manufacturability, reliability, and product development 
  • Ensuring safe, effective, and compliant technical operations 

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or a related field 
  • Have strong experience in fouling mechanisms and mitigation strategies 
  • Have knowledge of refinery and petrochemical equipment design and operation 
  • Have customer facing experience including troubleshooting and proposal support 
  • Have strong analytical, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills
