Together, you’ll help our customers get the high-quality gear they need to make the most of their adventures. We are BUILT FOR THE WILD™.

Photo Studio Manager

The YETI Content team is seeking an experienced Photo Studio Manager with a strong foundation in studio photography production to lead end to end in studio product photography workflows. This role requires a highly organized, proactive operator who thrives in a fast paced environment and is comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving problems without all the details, managing shifting priorities, and driving momentum even when timelines or budgets evolve.

You’ll bring deep expertise in studio photo production within a brand, production company, or agency environment, and you’ll be a collaborative partner to creative, product, and cross functional teams. While studio photography will be your primary focus, this role will occasionally lead cross-functional studio based video production as our needs grow.

We’re also looking for someone with an open mind toward innovation, a partner eager to explore how AI tools can enhance workflows, expand capacity, and drive greater operational efficiency across the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization and management of all studio photography, including product roadmap alignment, shot list development, scheduling for shoots and retouching, and final asset delivery.

  • Negotiate and collaborate to determine output expectations based on a holistic understanding of business needs and studio capabilities.

  • Work cross functionally to ensure alignment on shot lists, priorities, and final image output.

  • Maintain a comprehensive view of incoming requests to maximize efficiency across timelines and shoot days.

  • Communicate effectively across marketing, merchandising, product, creative, and wholesale teams to keep workflows aligned and moving smoothly.

  • Occasionally produce video shoots within the studio environment — including managing budgets, selecting and hiring crews, sourcing props, and overseeing scripts or shot lists.

  • Build, maintain, and execute production schedules in partnership with project management teams and in collaboration with the internal photographer and retoucher.

  • Manage all aspects of inhouse studio spaces, including organization, equipment care, and readiness.

  • Partner with the production coordinator to manage sample inventory and ensure product availability for shoots.

  • Manage scheduling, onboarding, and billing for external vendors and freelancers.

  • Identify process gaps and bring forward innovative solutions, including opportunities to leverage AI to improve efficiency, scale output, or reduce manual workload.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree required strongly preferred.

  • Greater than 8 years of experience producing in studio product photography at a brand, agency, or production company.

  • Exceptionally organized and detail oriented - you love a well built, well maintained spreadsheet and operational system.

  • A self starter and multitasker with proven success managing multiple workstreams and tight timelines.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across many stakeholder groups.

  • Experience working in or passion for outdoor brands and/or outdoor lifestyle photography is a plus.

  • Positive, calm, and solutions oriented - especially in high pressure situations.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring how AI can enhance production workflows, improve accuracy, and increase team bandwidth.
