Join a talented, fast-growing team committed to solving some of the most complex and impactful problems in sales performance management.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead design within CaptivateIQ’s Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) product line. This is a senior individual contributor role for a designer who thrives in complexity, owns large problem spaces end to end, and leads through influence, judgment, and craft—setting vision and shaping product direction across teams and the broader organization.

You’ll operate with high autonomy and partner closely with Product, Engineering, CX, and executive leadership to solve complex, high-impact problems and establish what great looks like for enterprise-scale systems.

Job Location
The candidate selected for this opportunity must reside near one of the following locations:
Hybrid (in-office 3 days per week)
Menlo Park, CA
Austin, TX

Remote
Raleigh, NC
Nashville, TN
Toronto, Canada

What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive the design vision for a major product area, aligning closely with Product and Engineering leadership
  • Lead and guide design across multiple teams, reviewing and approving work, and setting the bar for craft, systems thinking, and execution
  • Identify and lead the most complex, high-impact initiatives across the product and organization, shaping new problems and opportunities that drive customer and business impact
  • Design and evolve foundational systems, architectures, and reusable patterns, championing platform and systems thinking to ensure cohesion and quality
  • Act as a force multiplier by mentoring designers and helping teams raise their execution bar over time
  • Co-lead with senior Product and Engineering leaders to influence product strategy and prioritization
  • Improve how teams work together, proactively identifying gaps in execution, collaboration, or quality and helping teams course-correct
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies (including AI), using that insight to raise the bar for CaptivateIQ’s product experiences
  • Communicate clearly at the org and company level, including writing crisp documents that articulate vision, direction, and tradeoffs

What you’ll Bring

  • 12+ years of experience designing B2B SaaS products, ideally enterprise, platform, or systems-heavy software
  • Demonstrated success leading company-critical, high-impact initiatives as an individual contributor
  • Exceptional strength in UX, UI, system design, and interaction design, with a track record of setting quality standards others follow
  • Deep product, domain, and business acumen, with the ability to influence strategy and connect design decisions to commercial outcomes
  • Experience designing complex, data-heavy, workflow-driven systems at enterprise scale
  • Proven ability to coach and elevate other design leaders, including senior- and Staff-level designers
  • Comfort operating with high autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and creating clarity where none exists
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the presence and confidence to influence at the executive level
  • Strong judgment, leadership presence, and ability to drive alignment and accountability without formal authority

Why This Role Matters

  • Incentive compensation is where business intent becomes reality, where complex rules directly affect how people are paid, how companies build trust, and how revenue teams stay motivated. As CaptivateIQ evolves rapidly and embraces increasingly sophisticated, AI-driven workflows, this space continues to grow in complexity and strategic importance.

  • As a Principal Product Designer, you’ll help define what’s next for this system, and for how powerful enterprise platforms should feel, scale, and evolve. Your work will shape the foundations of the product, set the quality bar for the organization, and influence how teams across CaptivateIQ design and build.

Benefits

  • (US-ONLY) 100% of medical, dental, and vision covered including 75% for dependents
  • Flexible vacation days and quarterly mental health days so you can recharge
  • Enjoy a one-time expense on your 1-year work anniversary (to use for travel, home furnishings, fancy meal)
  • Annual stipends for professional development and caretaking
  • (US-ONLY) 401k plan to participate in and save towards the future
  • Newest Apple products to help you do your best work
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support and celebrate the shared identities and life experiences of communities within CaptivateIQ. ERGs directly support our company-wide DEI goals as a space for developing and retaining diverse talent
