Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Product Compliance and Risk Manager to support a rapidly expanding product in North America. This role is responsible for ensuring Wise's US and Canada Regulatory Compliance program is best-in-class, meeting all regulatory obligations, effectively managing regulatory compliance risk, and scaling to enable continued growth. The ideal candidate will be an expert in payment/and or cross border payments and possess proven experience in evaluating and implementing applicable controls.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop new products and features for NorthAmerica, and ensure an effective risk assessment considering all regulatory compliance risks are adequately reviewed and assessed prior to launch
Expertise/strong working knowledge with either state money transmission licensing requirements related to Permissible Investments, Regulatory Reporting; Or Consumer Compliance Regulations (e.g. Regulation E, UDAAP, California Consumer Protection Act), Privacy (GLBA), and applicable state privacy and consumer protection regulations.
Fully implement and manage a bank partner engagement program, developing key metrics to communicate the health and effectiveness of Consumer Compliance Program.
Support the closure of regulatory compliance issues by building new controls or enhancing existing ones.
Proactively identify ways to improve controls, reduce unnecessary customer friction, and enable continued growth.
Execute Quarterly regulatory compliance risk assessment, and present the results of such assessments to relevant regional and global Risk Committee.
Develop and enhance Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s) to provide senior management with a snapshot of the health of the Regulatory Compliance Program.
Qualifications
- You have a minimum 5-7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on implementing and enhancing controls.
You have experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop regulatory compliance controls that consider the customer’s journey.
You have a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and explain them clearly to stakeholders.
You are a problem-solver who uses regulations and data to drive business decisions.
You have experience working across cross border payments, with specific experience in the US and Canadian markets.
You have strong data analytics skills and have used them to develop/inform Key Risk Indicators to articulate the health of the consumer compliance program.
You are willing to travel to Wise offices located across different countries.
You are legally authorized to work in the US.
