The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive, and effective communicator with experience working in a technical manufacturing environment and in customer-facing roles. This person must be comfortable communicating directly with customers, providing project updates, managing expectations, and representing X-Microwave professionally throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition to project management responsibilities, this role will provide support for selected Sales Operations activities, including maintaining the opportunity pipeline and keeping order tracking current based on received purchase orders. The primary focus of the position, however, will be the successful execution of critical customer projects.

  • Provide clear, timely, and professional customer communications regarding project status, schedules, requirements, risks, and open issues.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables.
  • Establish clear ownership, timing, and priorities across functional teams.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule, quality, material, capacity, and scope risks.
  • Facilitate internal and customer project meetings and communicate key decisions, open issues, and next steps.
  • Ensure customer requirements, specifications, and delivery commitments are clearly communicated internally.
  • Track long-lead materials, engineering deliverables, production readiness, and other critical project dependencies.
  • Manage customer expectations and help resolve issues in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Escalate issues promptly and help drive timely resolution.
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information remains current and accessible.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and reporting.
  • Assist with maintaining the sales opportunity pipeline and ensuring opportunity information is accurate.
  • Support order tracking and status updates for customer purchase orders that have been received.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support X-Microwave’s continued growth.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with responsibility for customer communication, coordination, or relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project information.
  • Ability to identify potential problems early and take initiative to resolve them.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable business software.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, project management, or opportunity-tracking systems is a plus.
  • PMP certification is not required.
