The Role

PromptPath is hiring Regional Sales Managers to own new-business growth within an assigned territory.

In this role, you will own prospecting, relationship development, strategic, presentation and closing automotive dealer group opportunities, and carrying a quota you're accountable for. This is a hunting role for someone who knows the dealership floor, speaks the language of variable and fixed operations, and can walk dealer group leadership, a dealer principal, General Manager or dealer management through the value of PromptPath and the value we provide.

This role is remote with frequent travel (up to 50%) for sales presentations, launches and key business reviews.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle in your region: prospecting, discovery, demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close against a defined revenue target.

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of dealer groups, single-point stores with disciplined forecasting.

  • Run consultative discovery that maps PromptPath to a dealer's actual sales and F&I process, not a generic pitch. Diagnose where conversations break down and quantify the impact to dealers.

  • Deliver compelling demonstrations and business cases to dealer principals, GMs, F&I directors, and BDC/service leadership.

  • Navigate multi-stakeholder deals across a dealer group, aligning economic buyers, operators, and IT.

  • Partner closely with PromptPath teams, including leadership, implementation, customer success, and product to ensure a clean handoff from signed deal to live, activated account.

  • Represent PromptPath at industry events, dealer meetings, and engagements.

  • Feed the field back into the company: competitive intelligence, objection patterns, and product gaps that inform how we sell and what we build.

  • Travel roughly 50% of the time to be in-market, on-site, and in front of dealers.

Who You Are
  • 6+ years in automotive retail technology and/or SaaS sales into dealerships, OEMs, or lenders. You've carried a quota and consistently hit it.

  • Deep, credible understanding of dealership operations — you can talk process fluently, including the sales and F&I process, and dealers trust that you get how their store actually runs.

  • A genuine problem-solver: you lead with the customer's business outcome, not the product spec sheet.

  • Analytical by instinct: comfortable using data to build a case, size an opportunity, and hold yourself accountable to the numbers.

  • Team-focused: you win with implementation, CS, and product rather than around them, and you make the people around you better.

  • Excellent communication and executive presence; equally at home on a showroom floor and in a boardroom.

  • Willingness and ability to travel ~50% across your assigned territory.

  • Experience selling into multi-rooftop dealer groups is a strong plus.

What We Offer
  • Compensation includes competitive base salary and variable commissions

  • Competitive stock options

  • Comprehensive benefits package: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, and Long-term disability coverage

  • Unlimited paid time off

  • A chance to be part of a fast-growing startup that is redefining the automotive customer experience.

How to Apply

If you’re ready to help transform dealership conversations with cutting-edge technology, we’d love to hear from you. Apply here or reach out directly at [email protected] with a cover letter and resume.
