Roles and Responsibilities
- Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems
- Execute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated
- Implement continual improvement of work processes, including procedure and script update
- Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in the delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables
- Share information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environment
- Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
- Partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization
- Engage in continuous professional development and mentoring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant nuclear experience
Desired Characteristics
- Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering
- Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology
- Knowledge of plant operational support
- Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
- Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes
- Programming experience with Python or C#
- Detail oriented and accountable for results.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
