Medstreaming, a division of Harris; is seeking a Vice President, Research & Development who is a key strategic leader shaping the future of the company. 

 

This role blends technical expertise, business acumen, and people leadership. As VP of R&D, you will oversee core functions including product management, documentation, software development, quality assurance, DevOps, hosting, and infrastructure. You will serve as a mentor across disciplines, driving innovation and operational excellence throughout the organization. 

 

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US. Travel is required as needed, approximately 15%. Candidates must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally including Egypt. This includes either passport based visa exemption or possession of any required travel visas for entry into Egypt. 

 

Salary:  

130K - 165K

What your impact will be: 

The Technical Visionary 

  • Provide an overall vision for product and technical roadmap. 

  • Drive best practices for all R&D processes including: product delivery, rollout, feedback and internal/external communication. 

  • Drive initiatives and solutions for the product and technical teams.

  • Be financially savvy 

  • Maintain and manage a forecast of expenses for the department 

  • Innovate and evolve the business 

  • Integrate customers into the overall strategy 

 

The People Visionary 

  • Build effective teams 

  • Work with existing teams/structure 

  • Build, listen to, and develop effective teams/team members 

  • Bring departments together 

 

What you will contribute 

  • Support and grow the product development team 

  • Take part in product planning and task assignment 

  • Own the product roadmap and communicate with all stakeholders 

  • Collaborate on strategic marketing plans 

  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and definitive action 

  • Directly and indirectly guide and support a team of 50 

 

Travel Requirements 

  • Moderate required, including in person meetings and events in Egypt 

  • Regular travel to client locations may be beneficial 

 

 

What we are looking for: 

  • 5+ years of management experience 

  • Experience leading product teams 

 
What would make you stand out: 

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly convey strategic plans and decisions to the engineering team and other stakeholders 

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the field of healthcare IT 

  • Experience with on-premise to cloud migration projects 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with OCI, AWS, Azure, or other major cloud platforms 

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
