The Role
At Sovos, we're building a best-in-class Renewals organization, and we're looking for a Renewals Manager to help shape it from the ground up. In this quota-carrying role, you'll own the renewal process for a portfolio of SaaS customers, driving retention, growth, and exceptional customer experiences through strong relationships and smart negotiation.
More specifically, you will:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations, partnering closely with Account Management and Customer Success to develop comprehensive account strategies.
- Lead renewal negotiations with professionalism and strategic thinking, ensuring successful outcomes while identifying and pursuing upsell opportunities within your assigned accounts.
- Implement renewals best practices that elevate the customer experience, streamline processes, and drive predictable results.
- Maintain operational excellence throughout the renewal lifecycle, addressing challenges proactively and ensuring smooth execution from forecast to close.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline workflows and improve output quality, applying critical judgment to validate AI-generated content for accuracy and alignment with company standards.
- Deliver consistent, accurate forecasting and meet or exceed renewal targets quarter over quarter.

- You've built relevant experience managing SaaS renewals, with a track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a customer-facing role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills are strengths you've developed, and you know how to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
- You're comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, adapting quickly to new systems, processes, and product offerings.
- Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and a thoughtful approach to using technology to work smarter.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%) for customer meetings, team gatherings, and company events.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.
