Labcorp is seeking a Hybrid Reimbursement Analyst I to join our team!

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST

This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of three in-office workdays at our Burlington or Durham, NC locations and two remote workdays per week, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary internal liaison for payer reimbursement data, trends, and outcomes, supporting Billing Operations and cross‑functional partners.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve reimbursement issues or changes impacting stakeholders, including payer behavior and denial patterns.
  • Facilitate resolution of financial issues between payers, government agencies, and Labcorp using data‑supported analysis.
  • Compile, extract, model, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform research, analysis, trending, and reporting of revenue cycle and specialty‑testing billing data.
  • Compile complex end‑of‑month financial and reimbursement reports and present findings to RCM and Finance leadership.
  • Respond to specialized and ad‑hoc analytical data requests under tight deadlines.
  • Support AR trending, AR projects, and AR rundowns for RCM subsidiaries, with focus on reimbursement performance and payer impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years reimbursement analysis  work experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR four years reimbursement analysis work experience with a Associate degree or six years reimbursement analysis experience with a HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years of payer reimbursement or revenue cycle experience
  • One or more years of data analysis experience
  • Xifin experience
  • Current or former Labcorp employee

Additional Job Standards:

  • Experience extracting, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple systems in a reimbursement or revenue cycle environment
  • Experience with payer reimbursement methodologies, claims outcomes, and payment trends
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail and presenting analytical findings via Webex, Teams, and to senior leaders
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

The Reimbursement Analyst I is responsible for managing and analyzing information across multiple cross‑functional stakeholders to support accurate and effective reimbursement processes. This role serves as a key contact within Billing Operations, gathering, interpreting, and communicating data related to payer reimbursement behavior, specialty‑testing billing processes, system performance, and claims outcomes. The analyst works across multiple systems to identify trends, resolve issues, and support revenue cycle improvements through data‑driven insights.
