ApartmentRatings and SatisFacts Research is seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales for our Northeast territory (ME, NH, VT, NY, MA, CT, RI, MD, No. VA). The right candidate will set short and long-term sales strategies to support and grow an existing client base, while also looking to aggressively expand through new customer acquisition.

We are looking for someone familiar with a variety of the multi-family industry’s concepts, practices and procedures, relying on extensive experience, contacts, and prior success to accomplish goals. The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. Having a well established network will allow the right candidate to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon revenue targets for personally assigned territory through combination of renewal and new business sales
  • Expected to renew existing book of business in assigned territory at a rate of 85% or higher annually
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and establishing sales objectives, relying on an ever evolving understanding of assigned territory
  • Improve sales volume and product mix by keeping current with changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
  • Develop plan to ensure achievement of personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them
  • Provide periodic report of field sales success and communicate results to superiors
  • Provide customer service support and conflict resolution for escalated matters brought about by customers

Requirements of the role:

  • Three or more years of multifamily vendor sales experience in managing sales in a corporate setting
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
