NVIDIA is at the forefront of AI innovation, powering breakthroughs from advanced research applications to real-time generative AI systems. The DGX Cloud AI Efficiency team develops and delivers the foundational tools and infrastructure that enable high-performance AI workloads across NVIDIA’s cloud ecosystem. We’re now seeking a Senior Data Visualization Engineer to build next-generation performance visualization and analysis tools that empower AI researchers and engineers to understand, optimize, and scale their workloads.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and develop intuitive, high-performance data visualization tools to display AI system efficiency, utilization, and bottlenecks across large-scale GPU clusters.

  • Build automated analytics pipelines to transform and visualize performance profiling data into actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, GPU architects, and AI researchers to design visual interfaces that reveal system-level performance patterns and opportunities for optimization.

  • Define visualization standards and methodologies to interpret complex numerical and profiling data for diverse technical audiences.

  • Drive innovation in the user experience for AI performance dashboards through user research, prototyping, and iteration.

  • Influence performance analysis workflows across engineering teams by developing scalable, integrated visualization frameworks.

    What we need to see:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    • 8+ years of experience in software tools or data visualization engineering.

    • Strong programming skills in data visualization libraries

    • Deep understanding of numerical data analysis, statistical charting, and visual storytelling for technical users.

    • Experience designing polished UI/UX experiences tailored to technical audiences (engineers, data scientists).

    • Solid foundation in system performance analysis methodologies, metrics, and profiling data structures.

    • Proven ability to transform large, multidimensional datasets into clear, interactive visuals that drive decision-making.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

    • Experience with AI infrastructure performance visualization, GPU profiling, or cloud-scale system analytics.

    • Familiarity with GPU computing environments and deep learning frameworks.

    • Background in performance engineering or AI/ML tools development.

    • Strong design sensibility with a portfolio demonstrating interactive data visualizations for complex systems.

The DGX Cloud AI Efficiency team creates the software foundations that power NVIDIA’s AI computing platforms. By combining advanced engineering with deep system insight, the team ensures NVIDIA’s AI research and product development pipelines run efficiently at scale. Your work will shape how NVIDIA’s engineers visualize complex performance data—and directly influence the optimization of some of the fastest AI systems in the world.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.
