At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it.

As a Deal Desk Manager, you’ll join our growing NAMER Deal Desk team as the primary support for our Central team, driving deals to closure while ensuring data integrity and compliance with business policies and revenue recognition standards.

In this high-volume role, you’ll be a key partner to Pre- and Post-Sales leadership, providing guidance on business processes, policy adherence, and pricing strategy to ensure deals close efficiently and accurately. You’ll also play a central role in advancing strategic Deal Desk initiatives, shaping the commercial and operational deal flow at Vanta.

As Vanta scales, building a scalable deal review and execution process is critical. You’ll help design processes that can support our rapid revenue growth and enable alignment across Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, GTM Operations, and Legal teams.

What you’ll do as a Deal Desk Manager at Vanta:

  • Build strong partnerships with the NAMER Central Sales team (both reps and leadership), serving as the go-to partner to expedite deals and enhance process efficiency.

  • Work closely with sales leadership in your assigned geography to understand what drives team success and develop a tailored enablement and partnership program. Focus on engaging earlier in the sales cycle to position Deal Desk as a strategic advisor - helping shape deal strategy, structure, and process improvements that best support the team’s goals.

  • Review and evaluate deals for policy alignment, internal compliance, and booking accuracy.

  • Manage all aspects of deal execution, including approvals, pricing, configuration/structuring, and escalation of non-standard requests.

  • Support Finance teams during month end close and audit review cycles to ensure deals are accurately reconciled between systems and statement of record.

  • Educate Sales teams on process changes, policy updates, and Deal Desk best practices to improve deal velocity.

  • Work cross functionally with Legal, GTM Operations, Billing, Revenue, Collections to improve deal processes while ensuring efficient, scalable processes.

  • Provide analytical insight and identify trends into day to day metrics to assess efficiency of deal processes.

  • Represent the Finance team in cross-functional projects to support selling activities, product releases, and process improvements.

  • Lead system improvement initiatives to optimize Deal Desk workflows and reduce processing time.

  • Perform ad-hoc Deal Desk duties as required.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 7+ years of deal desk experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with diverse stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Legal, GTM Operations.

  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end Quote to Cash process for SaaS companies, having experience in both a subscription based as well as consumption based subscription environment.

  • Strong organizational and execution skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Ability to make and drive process improvements.

  • Previous experience working with SaaS Finance teams with understanding of software revenue recognition issues, including revenue recognition under ASC 606

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to make informed decisions

  • Ability to work quickly and make fact-based-decisions with imperfect data.

  • Clear communicator with ability to express ideas clearly and effectively

  • Ability to handle peak month-end and end-of-quarter volumes during a time sensitive environment.

  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact

At Vanta, we are committed to hiring diverse talent of different backgrounds and as such, it is important to us to provide an inclusive work environment for all. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender identity, age, religion, sexual orientation, veteran or disability status, or any other protected class. As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage and welcome people of all backgrounds to apply.

About Vanta

We started in 2018, in the wake of several high-profile data breaches. Online security was only becoming more important, but we knew firsthand how hard it could be for fast-growing companies to invest the time and manpower it takes to build a solid security foundation. Vanta was inspired by a vision to restore trust in internet businesses by enabling companies to improve and prove their security. From our early days automating security monitoring for compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 to creating the world's leading Trust Management Platform, our vision remains unchanged.

Now more than ever, making security continuous—not just a point-in-time check— is essential. Thousands of companies rely on Vanta to build, maintain and demonstrate their trust— all in a way that's real-time and transparent.
