As a Senior Designer, Design System you will serve as the primary designer for the Netspend White Label platform and our multi-brand design system. You will lead cross-platform design system strategy, component library management, and multi-brand scaling logic across Web, iOS, and Android.

In this role, you will bridge product vision, enterprise partner design requirements, and engineering execution. You will take direct ownership of strategic partner onboardings: delivering tailored thematic experiences for tier-1 enterprise brands while maintaining global system governance, engineering velocity, and high brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • DS Architecture & Governance: Serve as the design architect for the Netspend White Label platform, managing component libraries, design token structures, and multi-brand scaling logic

  • Enterprise Partner Delivery: Lead end-to-end design execution and custom thematic alignment for high-profile enterprise partners

  • Cross-Functional Handoff Pipeline: Partner closely with engineering and product leaders to align design vision with development pipelines, ensuring 1:1 component parity and reducing technical debt

  • Partner Onboarding Optimization: Establish reusable component frameworks and UI kits within the Netspend White Label platform to accelerate onboarding timelines for new white-label partners

  • Brand Integrity & Quality Control: Enforce visual consistency, quality control, and accessibility standards across all white-label product instances to protect partner brand guidelines

  • Design Systems Evangelism: Serve as the single source of truth for design tokens and system architecture, providing clear documentation, guidelines, and training for cross-functional teams

  • Mentorship & Elevation: Mentor designers and cross-functional peers, elevating overall design thinking, system usage, and craftsmanship across the organization

Your Soft Skills
  • Keep it simple: Scope system architecture and partner customizations to maintain momentum while upholding an uncompromising quality bar

  • Unblock yourself & others: Proactively eliminate bottlenecks between design and engineering to protect partner delivery schedules and maintain development velocity

  • Be decisive: Make clear, scalable decisions when reconciling conflicting requirements between core platform features and partner-specific brand guidelines

  • Strategic partner awareness: Tailor design solutions and communication to meet the rigorous brand and UX standards of enterprise stakeholders

  • Systems-level communication: Communicate effectively with engineering, product, and partner teams at the appropriate level of technical and design fidelity

Your Craft Skills
  • Multi-Brand System Architecture: Deep expertise in architecting multi-tenant, white-label UI systems and managing multi-brand theme scalability

  • Figma & Token Mastery: Advanced mastery of Figma (variables, tokens, auto-layout, branching, library publishing) and modern design token workflows

  • Technical & Engineering Fluency: Understanding of front-end implementation constraints across Web, iOS, and Android (e.g., React, Storybook) to streamline handoff pipelines

  • Accessibility & Quality Polish: Rigorous attention to inclusive design practices (WCAG compliance), micro-interactions, motion, and edge cases across custom themes

  • UX Problem Solving & Strategy: Ability to structure efficient user journeys within modular, white-label frameworks to accommodate complex fintech flows

Qualifications

Required

  • 6+ years of product design experience with at least 3+ years specifically dedicated to design system architecture, multi-brand scaling, or white-label platform design

  • Proven track record of architecting, launching, and governing scalable design systems or enterprise-grade UI component libraries

  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-profile co-branded or white-label solutions for major enterprise clients

  • Expert-level mastery of Figma, design token systems, and multi-platform UI libraries.

  • Strong technical alignment skills with proven experience bridging design-to-engineering workflows

  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities

Preferred

  • Direct experience in the Fintech, Payments, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) space

  • Experience delivering projects meeting strict brand standards for tier-1 global enterprise brands

  • Familiarity with front-end code (HTML/CSS, React, React Native) or Storybook integration

  • Expertise across iOS, Android, and Web design patterns

  • Experience running usability testing and data-driven design iterations
