The Senior Director, Global Demand Center will lead the modernization and growth of MongoDB’s global demand engine, driving customer acquisition, conversion, and expansion as the company scales toward $5B and beyond. This leader will oversee global teams responsible for digital acquisition (paid media, organic content and distribution, SEO, LLM/AEO, OOH, and audio), digital services (email, webinars, translation and localization), and partner marketing (hyperscalers, technology, and ISVs).

As a hands-on, strategic operator, you’ll evolve the Global Demand Center into a world-class capability that delivers measurable, scalable impact across regions, segments, and routes to market. You’ll collaborate closely with partners across Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to create integrated, data-driven programs that accelerate pipeline and revenue.

This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and plays a critical role in shaping MongoDB’s next era of growth. We're looking to speak with candidates based in Austin, Palo Alto, or New York City for our hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

1/ Transform and Scale the Global Demand Center - Lead the transformation of MongoDB’s global demand engine into a modern, efficient, AI-enabled center of excellence aligned with the company’s $5B growth path. Introduce and operationalize best practices from high-performing demand centers, standardizing processes, measurement, and global execution. Champion experimentation, automation, and data-driven decision-making across all programs, and embed AI to improve campaign execution, targeting precision, and marketing productivity.

2/ Drive Digital Acquisition Excellence - Lead global digital acquisition programs across paid media, organic content and distribution, SEO, LLM/AEO, OOH, and audio to build mindshare, drive qualified traffic, and accelerate new customer acquisition. Partner with Growth and Regional Marketing to optimize the full funnel from awareness and engagement to activation and pipeline creation. Build and manage a rigorous measurement framework to improve ROI, optimize spend allocation, and guide future investment strategy. Use AI-driven insights to refine targeting, creative, and channel mix for continuous improvement at scale.

3/ Operate Digital Services and Scaled Campaign Enablement - Lead the global digital services function, including email, webinar, and translation and localization programs that enable consistent, high-quality campaign execution across regions. Establish scalable standards for deliverability, creative quality, accessibility, and engagement performance. Within the Global Demand Center, this leader will also build the foundation for a Journey Optimization function that connects digital services, lifecycle programs, and personalization across the customer experience. Improve speed, efficiency, and collaboration by using better tools, automation, and process consistency to ensure global campaigns are executed with precision and impact.

4/ Lead Partner and Ecosystem Marketing - Collaborate with hyperscalers, technology alliances, and ISVs to design and execute integrated go-to-market programs that expand MongoDB’s reach and influence. Manage co-marketing investments, MDF utilization, and performance tracking in partnership with regional and alliances teams. Drive marketplace demand, accelerate partner pipeline, and ensure joint programs deliver measurable business outcomes.

5/ Operational and Team Leadership - Own planning, budget management, and performance reporting for all global demand programs. Build and mentor a high-performing global team with deep skills in analytics, automation, and AI-driven marketing. Establish clear KPIs and regular reporting cadences for the CMO and executive stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous performance improvement.

We’re Excited About You Because
  • Proven Experience: 12+ years in demand generation, digital marketing, or partner marketing roles within global B2B or SaaS organizations, ideally in cloud, data, or developer technology sectors
  • Transformation Mindset: Demonstrated success modernizing or scaling a global demand organization through best practices, experimentation, and automation to deliver measurable business growth
  • Marketing and Channel Depth: Expertise across paid media, organic, SEO, LLM/AEO, OOH, audio, email, partner marketing, and analytics, with a strong grasp of how these channels work together to drive mindshare and demand
  • AI Fluency: Familiarity with how AI can be applied across marketing workflows—from optimization and personalization to content generation and operational efficiency—and curiosity to pilot new approaches at scale
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Skilled at building alignment and driving results across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Partner teams
  • Operational Rigor: Deep understanding of marketing operations, budget management, measurement, and ROI accountability
  • Cultural Fit: Embodies MongoDB’s Leadership Principles—Customer Obsession, Build Together, and Think Big Go Far—and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability, growth-oriented culture

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping MongoDB’s next phase of growth, ensuring Marketing operates as one global, AI-enabled engine powering durable revenue.
