Job Description:

The Role: 

Our site in Burnet, TX, is seeking a Senior Engineer, Continuous Improvement. The CI Leader Engineer will play a critical role in driving lean transformation of the Burnet factory. Leveraging deep expertise in process mapping, Six Sigma, Lean and high-impact transformations, this individual will ensure that lean initiatives are designed and driven for success, implemented and sustained. As a key contributor to the operations team, this Engineer will help assess processes and KPI’s across the Burnet site and ensure improvement roadmaps are defined, executed, and sustained. This role will also coordinate with the larger CI community to share best practices and learnings to drive the Entegris Way mindset. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement CI strategies to streamline processes and eliminate waste to drive visual factory and process optimizations through Tier Daily Management. Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive process improvements.  

  • Assess and Optimize Processes: Conduct thorough assessments of current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement Lean principles to optimize these processes and help with digital transformation.  

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure that Lean improvements are integrated seamlessly with digital technologies.  

  • Drive Cultural Change: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Provide training and support to employees to adopt Lean methodologies and new digital tools and processes.  

  • Monitor and Measure Impact: Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of Lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for further enhancement.   

  • Facilitate Workshops and Training: Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate employees on Lean methodologies and digital tools.  

  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement Programs: Lead Kaizen events to improve business processes, waste identification using Value Stream Maps and devise plans to improve efficiency.   

 

WHAT WE SEEK: 

  •  Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, or related engineering disciplines 

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment driving Lean and Six Sigma programs across a large-scale and diverse manufacturing footprint  

  • Experience in driving a lean and digitize mindset across the supply chain with a global team  

  • Formal Six Sigma training and associated Lean, Blackbelt and SPC credentials  

  •  Willing to travel but less than 10% 

 

OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: 

  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and sustaining a CI culture across a global enterprise  

  • Direct supplier, Customer and factory experience in managing CI portfolios with measurable efficiency gains  

  • Hands-on leadership style and a sense of urgency to assist stakeholders

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $100,000- $135,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on the candidate's overall skills and qualifications for the role.
