What you'll do

- Own a business platform end to end as it grows to support additional workflows.

- Collect input from the colleagues who use the tool daily and turn it into quick product improvements.

- Deliver rapidly across the frontend, backend and data layers with the help of modern AI coding assistants.

- Shape reliable data structures out of inconsistent, real-world inputs.

- Build integrations with external business systems through APIs.

- Partner with the founders on the product roadmap and, over time, help lead the engineering function.

- A track record of building product hands-on as an individual contributor, with strong product instincts.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.

- Working knowledge of a current JavaScript UI framework, Python or a comparable language, and the Linux shell.

- Solid grounding in SQL-based databases, object-relational mapping and schema design.

- Practical experience with data pipelines and cleaning up untidy data into well-organized schemas.

- Ability to work on-site five days a week in Austin, or willingness to relocate there.

Bonus points

- A general interest in consumer products, even without prior industry experience.

- Prior engineering work at a retail or consumer goods brokerage.
