In this critical leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight to a dedicated team of claims professionals. You will ensure the quality, timeliness, and compliance of integrated claim services while collaborating cross-functionally to align regional operations with divisional goals. You bring a strategic mindset, a passion for developing people, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of injured Texas workers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You Will Do: 

  • Lead Regional Operations: Manage quality, timeliness, and compliance of integrated claim services across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, DWC rules, and internal procedures.  

  • Drive Strategy: Participate in divisional and regional planning, special project implementation, and strategic initiatives. Analyze claim volume and aggregate trends, adjusting workflows as needed.  

  • Champion Meaningful Change: Create an environment where feedback flows freely, using those insights to spot trends early, and take decisive action that is meaningful for your teams and the operation you serve.  

  • Empower Your Team: Recruit, retain, coach, and mentor employees. Foster a culture of active listening, open communication, and accountability — creating space for questions, feedback, and continuous learning. 

  • Align Talent: Set and communicate clear performance and behavioral expectations. Identify skills gaps, provide regular feedback, and build development plans that position your team for future success. 

  • Support Organizational Excellence: Evaluate and make recommendations on organizational structure and processes. Identify process improvements and communicate opportunities to executive leadership.  

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Contribute to the development and implementation of divisional goals, policies, standards, procedures, and budgets — advising management on operational and financial issues as needed.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience. 

  • At least 7 years of progressive claims experience (Texas preferred) or equivalent education, training, or experience. 

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Texas workers' compensation or all lines adjuster's license. 

  • Industry-related designation.

Texas Mutual Pay Transparency

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.

Base Pay Range: $136,408.00 - $168,504.00 Per Year

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
