Leads Risk & Resilience advisory pursuits and client engagements, including portfolio oversight, executive advising, solution shaping, SOW and pricing governance, delivery quality, and practice development. Partners with sales and technical experts to translate enterprise risk, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, compliance, and resilience challenges into actionable strategies and commercial solutions. Oversees engagement health, mentors teams, develops repeatable offerings, and supports growth of the advisory practice.

RapidScale is building a Risk & Resilience advisory practice designed to help enterprise clients navigate increasingly complex challenges across business resilience, governance, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, artificial intelligence, compliance, exposure management, and operational readiness.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Engagement - Risk & Resilience to provide senior advisory, commercial, and delivery leadership across the practice. This role will help shape major enterprise pursuits, oversee a portfolio of client engagements, establish strong commercial and delivery governance, and ensure RapidScale brings an integrated Risk & Resilience perspective to complex client challenges.
The Senior Manager will operate across the full lifecycle of the practice-from opportunity development and pursuit strategy through solution shaping, pricing and scope governance, delivery oversight, and executive client engagement.
This is not a traditional program management role or a purely technical cybersecurity position. The ideal candidate is a senior consulting-trained Risk & Resilience practitioner who can move comfortably between executive advisory conversations, complex pursuit leadership, commercial decision-making, and delivery oversight.
The role requires the ability to connect enterprise risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, governance, and compliance into a cohesive business-facing advisory strategy while bringing the consulting discipline and commercial judgment necessary to help scale a growing practice.

$70,900.00 and $182,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

What You'll Do
Portfolio & Advisory Leadership
- Provide senior leadership across a portfolio of Risk & Resilience pursuits and client engagements.
- Establish priorities across active opportunities and delivery workstreams based on client needs, strategic value, resource requirements, risk, and commercial considerations.
- Serve as a senior advisor to enterprise clients navigating complex issues involving risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, governance, compliance, and operational readiness.
- Lead executive-level conversations with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, risk, compliance, security, and transformation leaders.
- Help clients translate complex business and technology risks into actionable strategies, investment priorities, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
- Provide senior review and guidance on client recommendations, executive deliverables, and strategic readouts.
Major Pursuit & Solution Leadership
- Lead the shaping of complex, strategic, and high-value Risk & Resilience pursuits.
- Partner with sales, practice leadership, and technical subject matter experts to define the client problem, advisory approach, scope, solution, and value proposition.
- Lead or provide senior oversight for discovery sessions, executive workshops, proposal development, and pursuit presentations.
- Determine the appropriate combination of advisory, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, compliance, and delivery capabilities required to address client needs.
- Ensure pursuits are structured around measurable client outcomes rather than isolated technical activities.
- Provide senior-level support for strategic client presentations and executive decision-making throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Commercial Governance
- Provide oversight for SOW development, pricing, scope, assumptions, resource models, and engagement economics across Risk & Resilience opportunities.
- Evaluate proposed engagements for delivery feasibility, commercial risk, and alignment with practice capabilities.
- Partner with practice and business leadership to validate pricing strategies and delivery models for complex engagements.
- Identify potential scope, margin, delivery, or resource risks before commitments are made to clients.
- Help establish repeatable commercial guardrails and pricing approaches as the practice scales.
- Ensure that what is sold can be successfully delivered and that client expectations are appropriately established throughout the pursuit process.
Delivery Oversight
- Provide senior oversight across multiple concurrent Risk & Resilience engagements.
- Establish delivery expectations and governance for complex or high-visibility client work.
- Monitor engagement health, client satisfaction, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and overall quality.
- Provide escalation support when delivery challenges arise and help teams develop appropriate remediation plans.
- Ensure consistency and quality across executive deliverables, recommendations, assessments, and client readouts.
- Coach engagement leaders and subject matter experts on client management, problem structuring, executive communication, and consulting discipline.
- Maintain connectivity between pursuit strategy and delivery execution to ensure commitments made during the sales process translate into successful client outcomes.
Practice Development & Growth
- Partner with the Practice Lead to develop and scale RapidScale's Risk & Resilience advisory capabilities.
- Help define repeatable offerings, methodologies, frameworks, delivery models, pricing approaches, and quality standards.
- Identify emerging client needs and translate them into new or expanded advisory offerings.
- Develop reusable intellectual property, assessment tools, SOW frameworks, executive materials, and seller enablement.
- Help build organizational capability across Risk & Resilience by mentoring team members and coordinating expertise across security, cloud, AI, compliance, and delivery.
- Support internal education and enablement to help sellers identify, qualify, and position Risk & Resilience opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall growth, market positioning, and maturity of the practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of enterprise technology sales experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, a Ph.D. with 3 years of related experience, or 12 years of directly related experience.
- Significant experience in consulting, advisory services, risk, resilience, cybersecurity, technology transformation, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading complex enterprise consulting or advisory engagements involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
- Experience shaping complex client opportunities and translating ambiguous business challenges into structured advisory solutions.
- Experience developing and reviewing SOWs, proposals, pricing approaches, scopes, resource models, and engagement plans.
- Experience providing delivery leadership or oversight across multiple concurrent client engagements or workstreams.
- Experience engaging and advising senior enterprise stakeholders and executives.
- Working knowledge across enterprise risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, governance, and/or compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage commercial, delivery, scope, and client risks.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex business and technology issues into clear recommendations and decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a leading consulting or advisory environment, including Accenture, Big Four, MBB, or a comparable enterprise consulting/advisory firm.
- Significant consulting experience supporting enterprise clients across risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, cloud transformation, governance, compliance, or operational readiness.
- Demonstrated depth in at least two of the following areas: risk, resilience, cybersecurity, AI, or cloud, with strong fluency across adjacent disciplines.
- Experience serving as a senior advisor to CIO, CISO, CTO, risk, compliance, security, and transformation executives.
- Experience leading major or complex enterprise pursuits from qualification and discovery through proposal, commercial negotiation, and transition to delivery.
- Experience with consulting engagement economics, pricing, resource modeling, scope governance, and commercial risk management.
- Experience overseeing a portfolio of consulting or professional services engagements.
- Experience establishing delivery governance, quality standards, methodologies, or practice operating models.
- Experience developing new consulting offerings, methodologies, frameworks, intellectual property, or go-to-market capabilities.
- Experience mentoring consultants, engagement managers, or other advisory professionals.
- Experience operating across both pre-sales/pursuit activity and post-sale delivery within an enterprise consulting or professional services organization.
