Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and analytical AI Compute Strategy Analyst to join Arm's Market Strategy Group! This role is focused on identifying, analyzing, and shaping the future of AI inference compute by examining how the AI technology stack is evolving, particularly in the context of emerging models, system architectures, and deployment trends across Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 timeframes.
This role is ideal for a technologist who is fluent in the evolving AI stack, understands the interplay between model design and system-level hardware demands, and can translate technical and market signals into clear, actionable strategy for Arm. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, product, and commercial teams-as well as engage with external ecosystem partners, researchers, and innovators.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze emerging AI workloads, inference paradigms (e.g., reasoning models, deployment-time learning, memory-augmented inference), and their implications for compute architecture.
  • Track the evolution of the AI software stack (model serving, orchestration, tool use, streaming agents) and assess where hardware acceleration and system integration are most needed.
  • Investigate adoption drivers and structural gaps in the market across cloud, edge, and enterprise environments; recommend where and how Arm can strategically address them.
  • Produce high-quality strategic briefs, market insights, and opportunity framing documents that inform Arm's technology roadmap.
  • Conduct ecosystem and competitive scans across AI accelerators, inference infrastructure, and adjacent compute domains.
  • Contribute to strategy workshops, scenario planning, and cross-functional working groups focused on Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 innovation themes.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Strong understanding of the modern AI stack: from foundation models and inference engines to model orchestration and deployment frameworks (e.g., vLLM, TGI, LangChain, AutoGen).
  • Ability to evaluate how evolving AI techniques translate into system-level requirements (e.g., latency, memory, sparsity, determinism).
  • Technical familiarity with AI hardware (CPUs, NPUs, GPUs, custom accelerators) and their fit for emerging workloads.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing market trends or building product/technology roadmaps in an AI-related domain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical topics into executive-ready insights.
  • Strong collaboration mindset-comfortable working across technical, commercial, and research domains.

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in compute hardware, AI infrastructure, or systems architecture roles.
  • Hands-on experience with AI model serving or experimentation frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, PyTorch, ONNX, MLPerf).
  • Exposure to Horizon 2/3 innovation methods (e.g., foresight, trend mapping, technology scouting).
  • Familiarity with open-source and commercial inference deployment ecosystems
