The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option.

Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Engagement & Promotions, to lead the product strategy, implementation, and scaling of promotions and engagement drivers at Dave.

The Opportunity

This role owns how Dave decides which member gets which promotion, at what moment, and why. You'll rapidly experiment and iterate on new promotion types and triggers, and apply machine learning to identify the members most likely to act on them. Beyond promotions, you'll build the engagement layers that give members a reason to return — guidance that helps them manage their finances and a recurring, tangible payoff for staying with Dave.

This is a deeply cross-functional, product-led role at the intersection of product, data science, engineering, and marketing. Success requires quantitative rigor, a working command of ML concepts, and the product judgment to build something members genuinely want.

What You'll Build & Own
  • Set the vision, deliver the results: Own Dave's promotions and engagement roadmap end to end — new promotion types, app home screen experience, and personalization. Decide where ML drives selection and timing, so the right offer goes to the right user at the right time.

  • Ship with speed and conviction: Get ML-driven promotions live and learning quickly, then extend into durable engagement surfaces that guide members' finances and earn their loyalty.

  • Enable flawless execution: Act as the connective tissue across Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Operations, ensuring alignment on priorities, clarity on plans, and efficient execution toward business outcomes.

  • Build a culture of evidence: Build and maintain the experimentation frameworks and infrastructure that let the team test promotion and engagement hypotheses fast, with clean incrementality and honest readouts.

  • Stay ahead of ML and AI evolution: Track what's changing in applied ML and AI and translate it into practical product decisions — sharper targeting, better timing, and more useful guidance for members.

The Impact

Your work defines retention and engagement. You'll build the strategy and the systems Dave uses to scale engagement with the product, driving better outcomes for Dave members.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management owning engagement, retention, or loyalty programs in a high-volume B2C technology-driven environment

  • Experience working closely with senior leaders, including C-suite, to propose, refine, and ship new initiatives

  • Analytical hunter mindset with strong judgment - able to cut through the noise in complex data to surface insights and drive decisive action.

  • AI-driven curiosity - fluent in applying AI to real product work beyond the basics (e.g., idea generation, data analysis, workflow automation), with the instinct to make teams and leaders smarter through creative AI use cases.

  • Technical curiosity and fluency; a Bachelor's degree in a technical field is a plus.

Bonus

  • Experience building recommendation engines or ML driver promotion services.

  • Experience working in consumer fintech, especially in short-term lending.

This is a highly cross-functional role with real ownership. You'll have autonomy to shape the promotions and engagement roadmap, alongside partners in Growth, Marketing, Data, and Engineering. The first order of business is getting ML-driven promotions up and running; from there, you own engagement. Priorities will evolve as we learn, but decisions are grounded in data and shared context.
