Drive the Future of Real-Time Payments
CSI is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Product Manager - Instant Payments to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of products supporting the rapidly evolving real-time payments ecosystem. This role will focus on CSI's Instant Payments portfolio, including FedNow® Service and RTP® network solutions, helping financial institutions deliver immediate funds availability, improved cash flow management, and modern payment experiences.
As a key member of our Product Management organization, you will define product strategy, shape product roadmaps, conduct market research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative payment solutions to market. You will serve as a subject matter expert in instant payments and help drive CSI's leadership position in the financial services industry.
What You'll Do
Define and execute product strategy for CSI's Instant Payments portfolio.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, customer discovery, and validation activities to identify market opportunities and customer needs.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with business objectives and market demands.
Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Technical Product Owners, and Product Leaders to translate strategy into actionable product initiatives.
Create business cases, evaluate product opportunities, and prioritize investments based on customer value and business impact.
Lead the product lifecycle from concept through delivery, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, ROI metrics, and business outcomes to support growth objectives.
Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.
Support strategic customer, partner, and industry engagements through product demonstrations, presentations, and thought leadership activities.
Partner with Sales teams to identify opportunities for growth and position CSI's instant payments solutions in the market.
Mentor Product Managers and Product Analysts, helping to elevate product management practices across the organization.
Represent CSI at industry conferences, customer events, and webinars as an expert in faster payments and payments innovation.
What We're Looking For

6+ years of product management experience focused on:
Instant Payments
Real-Time Payments (RTP)
Faster Payments
Digital Payments
Experience supporting or implementing:
FedNow Service
RTP Network
Demonstrated ownership of product strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle management.
Experience collaborating closely with technology, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver complex financial technology solutions.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience conducting market research and developing business cases.
Instant Payments Expertise
Deep understanding of:
FedNow Service capabilities and operational requirements
RTP Network functionality and network rules
Real-time payment processing environments
24/7/365 transaction operations
Payment limits, settlement processes, and operational considerations
ISO 20022 Knowledge
Experience working with ISO 20022 messaging standards including:
pain.001 Payment Initiation
pacs.008 Financial Institution Credit Transfer
pacs.002 Payment Status Reports
pain.013 Request for Payment
pain.014 Request for Payment Response
Industry Knowledge
Understanding of:
Real-time settlement processes
Liquidity management
Fraud prevention strategies in irrevocable payment environments
Operational resilience and risk management
Experience within financial services, banking, fintech, or payments technology.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of overall professional experience.
Community bank and/or credit union industry experience.
Pragmatic Institute Certification (Level II or higher).
Experience with Aha! or similar product management platforms.
Knowledge of applicable regulations including Regulation E and UCC Article 4A.
Experience presenting to customers, executives, and industry audiences.
