Own the vision, roadmap, and execution of a unified engineering tools platform. Lead UI/UX direction, integrate internal tools through shared interfaces and data architecture, define APIs and standards, improve performance and reliability, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through planning and stakeholder communication. Establish contribution guidelines, including AI-assisted development standards, while translating engineering needs into product specifications.
Last Energy seeks a full-time Senior Product Manager to own the roadmap, execution, and coordination of multiple engineering tools. This role will integrate a suite of internal software tools across a common interface and shared data architecture. The result will be a single, high-performing platform that reflects the sophistication of our engineering work and becomes the foundation engineers depend on every day. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who understands how software systems & tools connect, has a strong eye for user experience, and thrives at the intersection of engineering and product.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and roadmap for a unified engineering tools platform spanning multiple tool and product lines
- Lead UI/UX direction for the master interface, ensuring it is intuitive, consistent, and built around how hardware engineers actually work
- Work across multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements and translate technical needs into clear product specifications
- Audit existing prototyped tools and define how they should integrate — data flows, APIs, shared standards, and a common interface
- Identify performance bottlenecks and set performance and reliability standards as tools scale across the organization
- Manage timelines, priorities, and dependencies with strong project management discipline, including roadmapping, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication
- Set guidelines for how engineers build and contribute new tools to the platform, including standards for AI-assisted development
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on UI/UX-heavy products
- Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, specifically engineering-focused users
- Experience managing multiple product lines or a platform with several connected tools
- Solid understanding of system integration, APIs, data interoperability, and software performance
- Strong project management skills including roadmapping, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication
- Hands-on design skills (e.g. Figma) with the ability to produce or critically review wireframes and prototypes
- Able to hold credible technical conversations with engineers; coding experience a plus but not required
- Experience building internal tools or engineering platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and LLM tooling
