A Day in the Life:

  • Financial & Budget Coordination
    Partner with finance and accounting stakeholders to support project financial planning, track budgets, monitor cost impacts, and ensure financial considerations are incorporated into project decisions and delivery plans.
  • Full-Lifecycle Project Oversight
    Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of moderate- to highly-complex initiatives—from discovery and planning through execution and closeout—using established project management tools and methodologies.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management
    Build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior and executive-level leaders, adapting communication style and engagement approach to meet varying needs and priorities.
  • Meeting Leadership & Facilitation
    Lead highly effective meetings by establishing and distributing agendas in advance, selecting the right attendees, facilitating productive discussions, managing scope in real time, and identifying items best handled offline or in follow-up sessions.
  • Communication & Executive Presence
    Deliver clear, timely updates and read-outs to project teams and leadership; confidently navigate nuanced, high-stakes conversations while reading verbal and non-verbal cues to respond appropriately in the moment.
  • Risk, Dependency & Issue Management
    Identify cross-project dependencies, anticipate risks and issues, and proactively manage escalation paths to support timely decision-making and resolution.
  • Action Item & Follow-Up Discipline
    Produce thorough and timely meeting notes, track action items to completion, and ensure accountability across stakeholders.
  • Adaptability & Change Navigation
    Maintain momentum and a positive outlook when priorities shift; apply sound judgment to determine when to follow established processes versus when flexibility or exception handling is warranted.
  • On-Site Collaboration
    Participate in in-person collaboration as needed to strengthen relationships, support alignment, and advance project outcomes.

What it takes:

  • Willingness to travel to St. Louis area for periodic on-site work
  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects within finance and accounting environments, including familiarity with financial processes, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Ability to interpret project data, risks, dependencies, and financial indicators to inform decisions
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, including complex dependency and schedule tracking
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to track nuanced, complex conversations and respond effectively in real time
  • High emotional intelligence with strong awareness of interpersonal dynamics and situational context
  • Comfort engaging directly with senior leaders and C-level executives
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance daily work, or a strong desire to do so, including a willingness to experiment, learn, and champion AI adoption within your role
  • Outstanding meeting management skills, including advanced agenda preparation, thoughtful attendee selection, and effective facilitation
  • Ability to guide discussions, manage time, identify items better handled offline, and keep meetings focused on outcomes
  • Strong follow-through, including timely meeting notes, clear documentation, and thorough tracking of action items
  • Proven ability to build trust and manage relationships with diverse and demanding stakeholders
  • Demonstrates calm, effective negotiation in high-pressure situations
  • Adaptability and flexibility when priorities shift; maintains a positive, solution-oriented approach
  • Exercises sound judgment in applying or adapting processes as needed
  • Strong foundation in project management frameworks, tools, and delivery best practices
