About the Role:
Join our Global Tax & Business Services (GTBS) team to revolutionize Gartner’s tax function through cutting-edge technology. You’ll assist with initiatives that streamline planning, reporting, and risk management across 100+ countries, leveraging automation, data analytics, and AI to drive efficiency and innovation. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy tax professional passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Transformation: Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of tax technology solutions that improve global tax processes and support broader tax transformation goals.

  • Build & Automate: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, workflows, and models using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Alteryx to support tax data management and compliance activities.

  • Prepare Data Insights: Analyze tax data and develop visualizations and summaries that help stakeholders monitor trends, support reporting, and identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Use AI Tools: Apply tools such as MS365 Copilot and Google Notebook LM to support research, documentation, automation testing, and process efficiency initiatives.

  • Coordinate & Collaborate: Work with Tax stakeholders, IT, Finance, and external consultants to gather requirements, track progress, test solutions, and support tax system integrations.

  • Support Key Platforms: Help maintain and enhance systems including OneSource Tax Provision, CorpTax, Orbitax, and SharePoint by monitoring data quality, resolving user issues, and supporting system updates.

  • Project Support: Assist with tax technology project plans, timelines, status tracking, testing coordination, and follow-ups to help ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Enable Adoption: Prepare process documentation, user guides, training materials, and job aids to support user adoption and consistent use of tax technology tools.

  • Reporting & Communication: Draft project updates, meeting notes, testing summaries, and documentation for review by managers and key stakeholders.

  • Risk & Issue Tracking: Identify and document project issues, data concerns, and process gaps, escalating items to managers or project leads as needed.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas, documentation, and lessons learned to help improve tax technology processes, team knowledge sharing, and project execution.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in the tax field, public accounting or US multinational background is strongly preferred.

  • CPA or master’s degree preferred but not required. 

  • General working knowledge of U.S. International taxation principles and ASC 740 concepts beneficial but not essential.   

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax software platforms such as Oracle, ONESOURCE, Corptax, Orbitax, or similar tools preferred but not required.

  • Experience using Power BI, Power Platform, Alteryx (Core Certified a plus), Excel (Advances Capabilities a plus), or other reporting and automation tools to support tax or finance processes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to project execution.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with tax, finance, IT, and external partners.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects, gathering requirements, testing solutions, documenting processes, and following up on action items.

Preferred:

  • CPA or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with ETL tools and APIs.

  • Experience with tax process automation, data integration, and regulatory compliance in a multinational environment.

  • Experience with Tax Provision and compliance.
