Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer Project Manager to join our team in Texas. This high-impact role is responsible for driving technical excellence, leading project delivery, and supporting both regional traffic initiatives and our national transportation practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in traffic design, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to innovation and high-quality client service.

Day to day, the Senior Traffic Engineer Project Manager will engage with clients, foster strong communication and teamwork, and oversee project teams to deliver work on schedule, within scope, and on budget.

The Senior Traffic Engineer Project Manager will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
 

Role accountabilities:

As the Senior Traffic Engineer Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of a wide range of traffic engineering projects and tasks. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of traffic signal, signing and pavement marking, roadway illumination, and ITS design.
  • Managing and conducting traffic engineering studies.
  • Overseeing client and stakeholder coordination, including consensus-building and presentation of technical recommendations.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to integrate multidisciplinary insights into project plans.
  • Supporting business development efforts by strengthening relationships with municipal and TxDOT clients, and contributing to proposal and pursuit activities.
  • Helping grow the Texas traffic design practice and mentoring engineers to support their technical and professional development.
     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant traffic engineering and design experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with municipal clients and TxDOT, including familiarity with their design manuals and project delivery processes.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $94,944 - $173,510. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
