FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential  destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news,  highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day  by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport  verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for college  conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling,  and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

  • FloSports is looking for a Social Media Designer to help elevate how our sports, athletes, events, and stories show up across social and digital platforms.

  • This role sits within the Creative team and works as a dedicated partner to the Content organization. Creative will provide brand direction, design standards, mentorship, and the overall visual vision, while the Content team will manage day-to-day priorities and workload.

  • This isn’t just a production design role. We’re looking for someone who understands social media, sports culture, and what makes people stop scrolling. You’ll create daily social assets, develop repeatable tools and templates for content teams, and help evolve how the FloSports brand comes to life across our different sports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create high-quality, social-first graphics for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms.

  • Design thumbnails, breaking-news graphics, athlete and event storytelling, stats, rankings, results, promotional content, and other day-to-day social assets.

  • Partner closely with Content teams to quickly turn stories, moments, and ideas into compelling visual content.

  • Build scalable templates, toolkits, and design systems that allow Content teams to create more efficiently while staying on brand.

  • Own and evolve the visual approach for recurring content formats across multiple FloSports verticals.

  • Translate FloSports brand standards into practical solutions that work within the speed and demands of social media.

  • Maintain consistency in typography, color, logo usage, composition, and overall visual quality across Content-created assets.

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing social formats rather than simply continuing to use legacy templates.

  • Experiment with new visual styles, formats, motion, AI tools, and emerging creative techniques that can improve the quality and speed of social content.

  • Collaborate with designers, editors, producers, social leads, and other content creators across FloSports.

  • Balance speed with craft, knowing when something needs to ship quickly and when a larger moment deserves a more elevated creative approach.

  • Stay current on sports culture, social design trends, platform behaviors, and how leading sports and media brands are evolving their content.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating social-first design, visual storytelling, typography, composition, and brand thinking.

  • Experience designing for social media, digital content, sports, entertainment, media, or a similarly fast-paced environment.

  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills.

  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere, Figma, or other motion/content creation tools is a major plus.

  • A strong understanding of what makes creative effective across different social platforms.

  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple requests without sacrificing attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working within an established brand system while knowing when and how to push it forward.

  • Strong collaborator who can take direction from Creative while working closely with Content stakeholders every day.

  • Comfortable creating both one-off, high-impact pieces and scalable systems that other creators can use.

  • Interest in sports and an understanding of fan culture is strongly preferred.

BONUS:

  • You’ll be part of the FloSports Creative team, but your primary partner will be Content.

  • Content owns the need. Creative owns the standard. You help connect the two.

  • The Content team will guide daily priorities, stories, and deliverables. The Creative team will provide design leadership, brand direction, feedback, and professional development.

  • The goal is to give Content a dedicated creative partner who understands their speed and needs while ensuring everything we produce continues to feel unmistakably FloSports.

  • Some work may occur on select nights and weekends.

At FloSports, we are bonded by our passion for sports and our purpose to unite communities around experiences that finally give underserved sports the love they deserve.
