No other company in our industry is supercharging the way they work and serve their clients like OneDigital. Fresh thinking has always been the core of OneDigital’s vision and growth strategy. It’s how we stand out in our industry, it’s how we stay competitive and resilient in a changing world. Most importantly, our innovative approach is helping more people do their best work and live their best lives. Innovation fuels our employee experience by making it easier to do your best work anytime, anywhere and from any device. And our tech-based products for clients are a game changer in our industry. If you thrive on change and innovation, OneDigital is the career choice for you.

Our Newest Opportunity:

The Software Engineer is responsible for delivering new and existing features based on business prioritization, following an established process that includes business discovery, feature refinement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams through implementation. These features may span isolated products or subdomains within larger platforms, often requiring coordination across multiple owners.

This role is ideal for someone who has embraced AI from the outset and is eager to lead the next phase of AI-augmented product development — not by writing code, but by driving clarity, speed, and strategic alignment across teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Incorporate feature requests into product planning and roadmap via the intake process.
  • Conduct cross-team feature refinement sessions.
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Groom and prioritize backlog with the team.
  • Set sprint goals and assist in writing acceptance tests.
  • Plan releases and upgrades.
  • Follow progress of work and triage UAT/production issues.
  • Drive continuous improvements based on team feedback.
  • Document product standards for internal and external stakeholders.

AI-Augmented Delivery Strategy

  • Stay ahead of the curve with AI — having made the transition early and continuing to drive innovation.
  • Lead the product strategy for AI coworkers and assistants, ensuring they are built or rebuilt using existing tech stacks.
  • Develop and present proof-of-concepts (POCs) for AI options — including when AI is not the right solution.
  • Understand how AI coworkers integrate with broader systems — they won’t live in isolation, and you’ll help ensure they work across platforms and APIs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of knowledge bases and LLMs that support AI agents over time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Confidently communicate across engineering, product, and business teams — balancing workshopping, training, and selling the vision.
  • Partner with technical leads and architects to align product delivery with feasibility and scalability.
  • Identify blockers and inefficiencies that slow down delivery and propose scalable solutions.
  • Maintain a bias toward action — quickly validate ideas to inform how we scale.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Technical fluency in software development concepts — especially around APIs, integrations, and web technologies.
  • Experience with Data Mapping, API Integration, JSON, REST APIs; JSONPath is a plus.
  • Understanding of cloud-native systems (preferably Azure).
  • Exposure to AI-augmented delivery models or low-code platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to move fast — with a mindset of “build quickly, then scale smartly.”
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to simplify complex decisions.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $130,000 to $135,000 per year

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
