The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc. 

Requirements-

  • Technical team lead responsible for leading, planning, and strategizing software development projects along with enterprise production support for SingleStore, NoSQL, and In-Memory database solutions for On-Prem and Cloud.

  • Lead a team of infrastructure/DBA engineers to support enterprise data platform, create new solutions, and innovate the platform to support growing business needs.

  • Mentor and manage multiple resources with responsibility for the technical and database requirements for business continuity.

  • Engage the team to follow best practices for Database Administration-related future technology changes.

  • Provide feedback and contribute to the enterprise data strategy.

  • Provide technical solutions to challenging problems while adhering to data, CIP, and cloud COE policies.

  • Lead installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting.

  • Leverage different automation methods, develop process/automation around Database Security (Roles, Groups, Row Level Access, etc.), and troubleshoot database errors.

  • Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities.

  • Configure backup processes and document and thoroughly test restore of clustered environments to prove out proper backup processes in place.

  • Work with cross-functional technology teams for provisioning new VMs, prep VM access, firewall changes, security updates, bug fixes, monitoring, and performance tuning (scaling, clustering, and load balancing). Involved in proof-of-concept for open-source business intelligence tools and propose ideas to expand overall team’s skillsets.

  • Administer and support migration of objects from development to production environments.

  • Configure/optimize server settings. Apply trace logs on servers in case of troubleshooting complex incidents.

  • Work with stakeholders, including product and other engineers as needed.

  • Apply database and application performance tuning techniques for keeping all environments at optimal performance.

  • Part-time telecommuting allowed.    

Qualifications-

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus three years of experience as a MemSQL administrator, database developer, or other database administration role or a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus five years of experience as a MemSQL administrator, database developer, or other database administration role. Must have experience with: SingleStore database; NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Couchbase; Linux and Windows server setup; SQL and SQL Server, including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and SSMS (SQL server Management studio); Data transformation and aggregation using Scala or Spark; MemSQL; Database Security management; Tableau and Alteryx; Scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, and Python). 


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
