Job Summary & Responsibilities

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in system architecture, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree is desired.  
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in customer engagement, solution design, or technology delivery 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market with experience creating, defining, selling, or delivering large scale technology services engagements for accounts within this business segment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing and leading people. 
  • A deep understanding of the selling strategy, budget cycles, buying habits, competitive landscape, contract types, and purchasing agreement standards is desired.
  • Track record in creating and closing opportunities in various infrastructure solution areas (Digital Workspace, Networking, and Mobility) such as Multi-Site/Branch office deployments, Managed Service offerings, Network Lifecycle Modernization, Digital Workspace Transformation, and/or Wi-Fi Modernization 
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling, including CAPEX/OPEX calculations specific to infrastructure solution proposals. 
  • Ability to ask the right questions to understand the business problem and identify the measurement or business object. 
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management. 
  • Skilled at multitasking requirements including gathering, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting tasks across multiple user groups in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment. 
  • Ability to generate creative solutions to difficult or ambiguous problems in a group setting. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and business visualization skills 

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $117,000 to $158,000  annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

Job Summary

 

The Solution Architect identifies, shapes, and builds new business opportunities by leveraging competitive intelligence, business requirements, cost estimates, and solution options across business and technology services and industries.They decide which technologies and capabilities are best suited to a client’s needs, based on deep conversation and the offerings WWT brings to bear. The Solution Architect is responsible for building a collaborative approach across sales and delivery teams. They drive alignment to structure deals and drive the best outcome for the customer, WWT, and our partners. By leveraging their expertise, Solution Architects mitigate engagement risks, articulate the inherent value of WWT services, and fortify client relationships. They work closely with clients, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Work is accomplished with moderate supervision. Follows established and detailed directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Up to 25% travel.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Spearhead the strategic design of innovative infrastructure-based (Digital Workspace, Networking, Data Center, and Mobility) solutions by leveraging deep knowledge of the evolving technology landscape and maximizing internal WWT capabilities 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, adeptly understanding their unique needs and crafting tailored recommendations that drive value and foster long-term partnerships 
  • Champion the integration of WWT's diverse portfolio of offerings, introducing and promoting cross-business services to enrich client engagements and expand WWT's market presence 
  • Collaborate closely with WWT account teams to align sales and support efforts, driving cohesive and effective engagement strategies 
  • Build productive solution development teams, leveraging junior team members to support their growth and development 
  • Support the evaluation and establishment of project scopes, value assessments, and build plans for execution. 
  • Identifies, assesses and supports solution design for defined client business problems for area of responsibility. 
  • Conduct technology assessment and technology strategy to support future business needs  
  • Support project planning and execution including resource management on projects. 
  • Help define and quantify the value of a transformation, and how to measure and track success, including defining business case and strategy/approach. 
  • Support thought leadership in a Solution Services capability.
