The Sr. Business Analyst - MDM will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions for Master Data Management and data-related initiatives. This role involves working closely with business and technical teams to analyze processes, gather requirements, document business rules, and support data quality and governance efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong BA background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, workflows, and data needs.
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, policies, and procedures in partnership with business and IT teams.
  • Support data quality requirements, business rules, and standardization efforts to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability of business-critical data.
  • Develop and execute data quality metrics and reports.
  • Partner with Data Governance, business, and technology teams to review new policies, requirements, and process changes and implement them.
  • Participate in data profiling, data mapping, gap analysis, and integration planning activities as needed.
  • Provide data analysis and insights to support decision-making processes. Conduct data impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure MDM solutions are properly integrated into existing systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in MDM and data management.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on MDM tools and processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and IT to clarify requirements, data definitions, business rules, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • 8+ years of relevant Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or IT experience
  • Proven experience in data management, data governance, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data quality tools and techniques. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with data visualization tools. 

Preferred/Nice-to-have qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management and experience with MDM tools such as STIBO, Reltio, Informatica, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting enterprise data initiatives involving product, customer or vendor, master data
  • Exposure to data governance, data stewardship, data quality, or master data processes
