Job Summary: 
As the Senior Director, HR Business Partner, you will be aligned with and own the HR strategy for the Operations and Placement groups within North America Insurance. This senior-level HR position entails tackling the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges at a strategic level and successfully partnering with divisional leadership and colleagues across the HR model to create value for the business. This will require expertise to prioritize strategic issues, collect and analyze data, and work in a team to develop and implement solutions rooted in best practices. This will also require experience working in specific contexts - merger and acquisition activity, high degrees of organizational change and business-line complexity and diversity.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to provide thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategies and execution, operating as a trusted advisor and peer to senior operations leaders.
  • Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to increase alignment by helping business leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes. 
  • Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process improvement, automation, outsourcing, coaching and training, leadership development, and succession planning. 
  • Provide data-driven guidance and constructive counsel to senior leaders, using sound judgment to influence decisions and drive accountability across leadership teams.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning efforts, including capacity modeling, role clarity, and critical role identification to support scalable growth.
  • Act as a liaison between the HR Business Partners, HR Shared Services, and COEs to ensure services are aligned with internal client needs. 
  • Manage and develop a team of HR professionals by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a high-performing, accountable team environment. 
  • Identify and implement performance metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HRBP team and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Establish a regular cadence to align the HR team with overall HR strategy, clearly mapping expectations and priorities to enable efficient use of resources and maximize team impact.
  • Analyze processes to identify gaps or redundancies and take action to streamline, eliminate, automate, and improve how HR work is delivered to the organization.
  • Stay informed of HR trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure strategies remain effective and relevant.
  • Navigate complex organizational changes, including transformation and restructuring, while helping employees adjust and minimizing business disruption.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, compliance, and risk-related matters, demonstrate strong judgment in complex situations and ensure a balanced approach to business needs and risk mitigation.

Extensive travel may be required. 
Required Qualifications: 

  • Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner, including leadership of HR teams
  • Proven ability to partner with senior operations leaders and influence business outcomes
  • Strong operations and financial acumen, with the ability to connect people strategies to business performance
  • Demonstrated experience leading workforce planning, organizational design, and large-scale change initiatives
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, consulting, and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and influence decisions across audiences
  • Ability to assess situations accurately, identify risks, and exercise sound judgment in complex scenarios
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations and risk situations
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to access, interpret, and translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Technology Skills: 

  • Preferred: Experience with Workday. 

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources Management, or a related field, or a recognized equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 10+ years of HRBP or related experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • 5+ years of client facing experience at the senior leadership level. 
  • Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $213,860 - $318,274. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
