Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who owns the technical strategy and platform evolution behind a key product line — someone who thinks in platforms rather than features, operates with AI tools as core infrastructure, and translates deep technical work into clear business impact.

This role sits at the interface of Product and Engineering. You will own the technical roadmap for your area — new capabilities, platform infrastructure, technical debt, security, and scaling — and keep Architecture and Engineering aligned with the business-facing teams that depend on them. You should already be using AI to accelerate your own work, be comfortable reading architecture diagrams and reviewing API designs, and bring strong opinions about how SaaS platforms should be designed, measured, and scaled. Your work will help our customers reach their goals and drive Momentive’s growth forward.

This position reports to the Director of Product Management. This is a remote, US-based position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, own, and maintain the technical product roadmap for your area — spanning new features and capabilities, platform infrastructure, technical debt remediation, security fixes, and scaling mechanisms.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the platform architecture and how it interacts with product use cases, the broader Momentive portfolio, and third-party integrations.
  • Translate product-line needs and stakeholder input into clear technical requirements, initiatives, and epics for Engineering — identifying shared patterns and consolidating duplicated efforts into scalable, reusable capabilities.
  • Maintain alignment between Architecture/Engineering teams and Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and other non-R&D functions — translating complex platform decisions into clear business-impact narratives.
  • Work with Support to triage and prioritize operational issues impacting customers and the broader platform.
  • Drive Product/Architecture interface process improvement, ensuring clean handoffs and shared accountability across teams.
  • Monitor platform adoption, usage, performance, and reliability metrics, and use data to drive technical investment decisions.
  • Act as Product Owner when needed, operating with high autonomy in a role where success depends on influence across teams you do not directly control.
  • Use AI tools as core tools in your daily work — not as novelties, but as force multipliers for research, analysis, communication, and decision-making:
  • Use AI to prototype technical approaches, analyze cross-product usage data, and generate first-draft technical specifications and requirements that you then refine with engineering judgment.
  • Compress discovery and analysis cycles by using AI to synthesize stakeholder input, assess existing systems and data flows, and surface insights that would otherwise take weeks.
  • Stay current on AI tooling and platform patterns, and share effective approaches with the broader product and engineering organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience; 5+ years in a software/SaaS environment, including 4+ years in a product management role.
  • Advanced technical understanding of networking, databases, operating systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure — with the depth to read architecture diagrams, review API designs, and engage in detailed technical discussions with engineers.
  • Experience defining APIs, data contracts, and integration approaches, and managing platform or system migrations while maintaining continuity for dependent teams and customers.
  • Advanced understanding of Agile processes and deployment methodologies, including CI/CD; strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated, meaningful use of AI tools in your own workflow. You should be able to speak concretely to how AI has changed the way you work, what it’s replaced, and where you’ve found its limits.
  • Ability to derive and apply technical product strategy across one or more products on a 6–12 month time horizon, grounded in strong market and portfolio analysis.
  • Experience with secure coding, compliance, and security practices.
  • Strong experience with Jira and metrics tracking for optimal team output.
  • Experience working with Associations and/or Nonprofits is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Platform Thinker: Thinks in systems rather than features — building capabilities that scale across products and serve multiple teams through a shared core.
  • Technically Fluent: Comfortable in deep technical discussions with engineers, and able to translate complex architecture into clear narratives for leadership, product peers, and GTM teams.
  • Outcome-Focused: Draws a clear line from technical decisions to customer success and business results, and uses data to drive investment and prioritization.
  • Influential Leader: Drives outcomes across teams they do not directly control, building alignment and shared accountability through influence.
  • AI-Native: Treats AI as a core part of the job, not a novelty. Uses it daily to prototype, analyze, and communicate, and shares what works with the team.
  • Owner: Demonstrates significant initiative and end-to-end ownership, with an uncompromising commitment to product quality, reliability, performance, and scalability.
