General Summary:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be able to demonstrate a high level of organizational and time management, strong problem-solving skills and reasoning as well as a high degree of attention to detail. Must be a “self-starter” and be able to work effectively with others.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for preparing reports monitored by executive leadership.
  • Perform royalties report calculation. 
  • Perform account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts. 
  • Perform month closing journal entries. 
  • Assist in preparation of Lead Schedules for Year-End Audits
  • Interface with all levels of organizational personnel
  • Support with the integrations and publication of Financial Statements and Lead Schedules 
  • Monthly write-off of non-Accounts Receivables Transactions 
  • Proper coding for American Express transactions and posting of related Journal Entry 
  • Re-class incorrect coding to proper Income Statement accounts 
  • Participate in Physical Inventory counts. 
  • Support the Month-End system close. 
  • Provide Support to Stores as needed. 
  • Any other additional task requested by Senior Management

 

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Able to multi-task, plan and prioritize work effectively. 
  • NetSuite experience a plus
