JOB SUMMARY

Ensures that market participant committees, subcommittees, working groups and task forces receive the support and information necessary to make informed decisions while complying with applicable laws and regulations. This role is vital to ensuring a positive and productive working relationship with ERCOT market participants and other industry stakeholders. Efficiently moves issues and proposals through the governance process. Acts as a liaison between committee chairs and market participant committee representatives. Coordinates committee, subcommittee, working group, and task force logistics with market participant committee chairs, committee members and ERCOT staff.

JOB DUTIES

  • Understands the basic principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and learns how to apply them within the ERCOT culture.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.

Level 1 & 2

  • Fosters collaboration and consensus among stakeholders, as well as monitors adherence to parliamentarian procedures and standards during assigned stakeholder meetings
  • Effectively manages the assigned committees/working groups/task forces in which new initiatives are vetted with participants and solutions to energy challenges are collaboratively considered
  • Provides a wide range of business support, training, and information to participants in ERCOT's electricity markets stakeholder process
  • Administers internal policies, procedures, and workflows for the assigned stakeholder support groups
  • Participates in supporting and facilitating market stakeholder meetings including setting and coordinating meeting schedules, developing and distributing agendas, gathering and posting relevant materials, liaising with ERCOT personnel to ensure logistical readiness, and developing formal meeting minutes
  • On an annual basis, participates in running stakeholder elections to seat members on various stakeholder committees and subcommittees
  • Serves as a resource to Market Participants and collaborates with internal ERCOT departments by offering direction and information on all stakeholder meeting processes and requirements
  • Maintains and supports business policies and processes consistent with PUCT rulings and Board mandates
  • Coordinates and works collaboratively with ERCOT staff in providing transparency into the proceedings of market stakeholder meetings
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with ERCOT staff and market participants
  • Continually develops understanding of the ERCOT energy market and its regulatory environment

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of minimum work experience required
  • Prefer previous experience working in utility, ISO or power systems space

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree : Business Administration, Communications, Engineering or related field (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
