Exowatt is revolutionizing the energy landscape for the AI era with our groundbreaking P3 system that captures solar energy, stores it as heat, and generates electricity on demand. Founded in 2023 and backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sam Altman, and Felicis, we're committed to providing clean, modular, and scalable power that meets the rapidly growing demands of AI infrastructure. Our mission is to make sustainable renewable energy always available and almost free, enabling technological advancement while protecting our planet.

We are looking for a hands-on Global Supply Manager with exceptional negotiation skills to establish and manage commercial relationships with contract manufacturers and strategic partners. In this role, you will own cost negotiations, supply planning, and risk management while driving cost reduction through operational efficiency and disciplined processes. You will be instrumental in executing projects that meet both product milestones and corporate goals.

This role sits at the intersection of internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners, requiring someone who can balance competing priorities to ensure successful product launches. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, drives excellence across their own responsibilities and those of team members and partners, and communicates concisely and effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional peers alike.

This employee will be based in Austin, TX, and will also work from our Miami headquarters as needed. Relocation is required, and relocation assistance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

    • Establish, develop, and manage commercial relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and strategic partners to support Exowatt’s production and growth objectives.

    • Lead cost negotiations with vendors and contract manufacturers, securing favorable terms that align with budget targets and long-term cost reduction goals.

    • Own supply planning and forecasting, ensuring materials and components are available to meet production schedules and product launch timelines.

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive risk management strategies, including dual-sourcing, safety stock optimization, and contingency planning.

    • Drive continuous cost reduction through operational improvements, process efficiency, value engineering, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

    • Execute supply chain projects end-to-end to meet product development milestones and corporate objectives, ensuring alignment between engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

    • Partner with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality, finance) and external partners to balance priorities and resolve issues that impact product delivery.

    • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, performance metrics, and reporting to track supplier quality, delivery, and cost performance.

    • Provide clear, data-driven updates and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex supply chain data into actionable insights.

    • Roll up your sleeves—get hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, jigs, tooling, and fixtures to evaluate manufacturability, supplier capabilities, and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

    • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain development, sourcing management, or procurement within a product development or manufacturing environment.

    • Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with direct involvement in product development lifecycles.

    • Hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical systems, jigs, tooling, and fixtures—comfortable on the factory floor and in the lab.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. MBA is a plus.

    • Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on facts and data, stay focused under pressure, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Top-notch analytical and negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing high-value agreements and driving measurable cost savings.

    • Ability to blend strategic thinking with a detail-oriented, execution-focused approach—equally comfortable setting long-term sourcing strategy and managing day-to-day supplier relationships.

    • Genuine passion for problem-solving and driving issues to resolution, with a bias toward action and accountability.

    • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority, building consensus across engineering, operations, finance, and executive stakeholders.

    • Systems thinker who can absorb large amounts of new information quickly and distill it into clear, concise summaries for decision-making.

    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the time.

Competitive salary and equity options.
Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
A dynamic work environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
