Parkway Construction is a commercial general contractor building projects across the country. Our mission is simple: Deliver Excellent Projects and Develop Excellent People.

We believe great companies are built by great people, and we're intentional about who we bring onto our team. Our culture is performance-driven, values-focused, built around our core values of Integrity, Trust, and Respect.

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who shares that mindset.

The Opportunity

This isn't a high-volume recruiting role, and we're not looking for someone who wants to sit behind a computer all day posting jobs and waiting for applications. Although you will do some of that ;-)

We're looking for a recruiter who hunts.

Someone who enjoys finding great people who aren't necessarily looking for a job, starting conversations, building relationships in the market, and ultimately bringing high-impact talent to Parkway.

You'll own recruiting for positions across our organization, with a significant focus on construction operations, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Preconstruction/Estimating professionals, and other key positions.

At Parkway, quality matters more than volume.

What You'll Do
  • Own the recruiting process from initial sourcing through accepted offer and onboarding handoff.
  • Proactively identify and recruit passive candidates through LinkedIn, phone calls, email, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Build long-term talent pipelines for critical construction positions.
  • Develop relationships with strong candidates before we necessarily have an immediate opening.
  • Conduct initial candidate conversations and evaluate experience, career goals, compensation expectations, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and participate in Parkway's consensus hiring process with hiring managers and leadership.
  • Partner closely with operations leaders to understand their teams, upcoming needs, and the type of talent that succeeds at Parkway.
  • Maintain consistent candidate communication and create an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage interview scheduling, feedback, references, offers, and pre-employment processes.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity and candidate information within our ATS.
  • Support university recruiting, career fairs, internships, and early-career talent initiatives.
  • Help strengthen Parkway's employment brand through LinkedIn, networking, employee referrals, and industry engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • Experience proactively sourcing and recruiting passive candidates.
  • Construction, engineering, architecture, real estate, or other professional recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and initiating conversations with people you don't know.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Naturally curious: you want to understand what someone has actually accomplished, not just what's written on their résumé.
  • Strong judgment and ability to assess both technical experience and cultural fit.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up.
  • Organized enough to manage multiple searches without sacrificing candidate experience.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leaders and hiring managers.
  • Willing to challenge a hiring manager when necessary rather than simply taking an order.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
 Why Parkway?

Parkway has grown by giving talented people the opportunity to take on responsibility, develop, and build careers, not simply hold jobs.

You'll have direct access to company leadership, significant ownership over how we recruit, and the opportunity to help shape the team as Parkway continues to grow.
