Technical Account Manager, SLEDMinimum qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles supporting cloud or cloud-security products (such as Technical Account Manager, Professional Services, or Solutions Engineer).
  • 4+ years of experience working in or supporting State, Local, or Education (SLED) organizations.
  • Experience delivering cloud solutions across at least one major CSP (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI), and direct experience with their government-specific offerings (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and GCP Assured Workloads).
  • Practical experience navigating the Government authorization processes such as FedRAMP or GovRAMP and guiding customers through rigorous security and hardening requirements (such as NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171).
  • Practical experience deploying and operationalizing containerization technologies (such as Docker or Kubernetes) and addressing corresponding security considerations.
  • Practical experience deploying and operationalizing DevOps technologies (such as CI/CD, Version Control Systems, or Infrastructure as Code) and managing their security implications.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating system security concepts and technical troubleshooting.
Preferred qualifications
  • CSP certifications (such as Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional).
  • Security certifications (such as CISSP or CCSP) and experience helping organizations address complex cloud-security challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from technical practitioners to Senior Executive Service (SES) members, Military Officers, and Agency CISOs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex technical issues, driving resolution across intricate and often ambiguous internal and external structures.
About the job

As a Technical Account Manager, SLED you’ll be responsible for planning and executing strategies that drive customer adoption and use of the Wiz platform across State and Local agencies, and Universities.

Your cloud and security industry expertise will allow you to provide impactful guidance to customers throughout their Wiz onboarding and operationalization journey. You will serve as the bridge between customers and the broader Wiz team – you'll streamline collaboration between Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and Support to deliver a cohesive customer experience for government organizations with the most stringent security requirements.

Strong technical expertise and customer-facing skills will be essential in addressing the needs of our customers. Your understanding of how large organizations leverage cloud, security, and SaaS technologies will allow you to empathize with customer personas and drive effective conversations with customer personas at all levels. 

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and Wiz platform expert throughout your customers’ journey, confidently guiding them through deployment, configuration, and operationalization using federal cloud-security best practices.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for your customers, driving the resolution of highly complex architectural and operational challenges across intricate federal cloud environments.
  • Act proactively by leading the customer on a journey to full adoption and value, and promoting excellence in addressing Cloud, Code, and Runtime security risk.
  • Help customers develop success plans with measurable goals throughout the Wiz lifecycle that align with their organizational security, compliance, and mission objectives.
  • Navigate complex federal organizational structures, building and cultivating relationships with key contacts—from State/Local CISOs and Authorizing Officials (AOs) to technical practitioners—to drive forward key Wiz objectives.

Compensation + Benefits 

Compensation for this full-time position includes base salary + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

US Base Pay Range
$130,400—$151,200 USD
