About Prime Data Centers

Prime Data Centers develops, acquires, and operates data centers for some of the world's largest enterprises. A private firm owned by a group controlling $6 billion in assets, with a 15-year tenure in technology and real estate development, Prime provides customers with ownership options and dynamic leasing models, defining a true corporate partnership.

About the role

The Technical Training Administrator keeps the data center training program running: the LMS, the schedule, the records, and the reporting that proves every technician, engineer, and shift lead is current on required training. You will be the operational backbone of the Technical Training team, so instructional designers can focus on building content and site leaders can trust that compliance is tracked and audit-ready.

This role sits in the Data Center Operations training function and reports to the Director of Technical Training. You will work daily with instructional designers, site operations managers, HR, and EHS, and you will be the first point of contact for employees with training questions.

What you'll do

LMS administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the learning management system: user accounts, roles, groups, and site hierarchies.
  • Upload, test, and publish eLearning content (SCORM/xAPI packages, videos, documents) delivered by the instructional design team.
  • Build and maintain learning paths, curricula, recurring assignments, and automated enrollment rules by role, site, and hire date.
  • Troubleshoot learner access and content issues; escalate platform defects to the vendor and track them to resolution.

Scheduling and logistics

  • Schedule instructor-led and virtual sessions across sites and shifts, including 24x7 rotations; coordinate rooms, equipment, and instructor availability.
  • Manage enrollments, waitlists, reminders, and attendance for classroom, virtual, and hands-on sessions.
  • Coordinate third-party and vendor-delivered training (OEM equipment training, safety certifications) including contracts, invoices, and attendee lists.
  • Prepare materials, roster sheets, and sign-in records for on-site sessions.

Records and compliance

  • Maintain complete, accurate training records for every operations employee, including certifications, expiration dates, and recertification deadlines.
  • Track required training against regulatory and internal standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, site safety qualifications, customer or audit commitments).
  • Produce evidence packages for internal audits, customer audits, and certification bodies (SOC 2, ISO, Uptime Institute).
  • Process new-hire training onboarding and offboarding in coordination with HR.

Reporting and program support

  • Publish weekly and monthly dashboards on completion rates, overdue training, and certification status by site and role.
  • Flag at-risk employees and sites to supervisors before training lapses.
  • Administer course evaluations and compile learner feedback for the instructional design team.
  • Document administrative procedures and maintain the training team's calendar, intake queue, and content inventory.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years administering an LMS or coordinating training programs, ideally in a technical, industrial, or regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience uploading and testing SCORM or xAPI content, building curricula, and configuring automated assignments.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleanup) and comfort building reports from LMS exports.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing many concurrent schedules, deadlines, and records without errors.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication; able to work with hourly technicians and senior leaders alike.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and discretion when handling employee records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrator experience on a major enterprise LMS (Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo, Absorb, or similar).
  • Experience supporting data center, critical facilities, utilities, manufacturing, or another 24x7 operations workforce.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance training requirements such as OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific qualification programs.
  • Experience preparing training evidence for SOC 2, ISO, Uptime Institute, or customer audits.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS integrations, SSO, and user-provisioning workflows.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for training dashboards.
  • Certifications such as ATD APTD, SHRM-CP, or an LMS vendor administrator certification.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office or remote work with periodic visits to data center sites to support on-site training sessions and audits.
  • Travel up to 15% to data center locations.
  • Occasional early, late, or weekend hours to support training for 24x7 shift schedules.
  • Must pass a background check and comply with site security and confidentiality requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range and performance bonus program
  • Dollar-for-dollar 401(k) match up to 4% that is fully vested upon enrollment
  • 100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability
  • 4+ weeks of Paid Time Off + Sick time

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
