Job Description

  

Teledyne LeCroy Inc. develops leading edge test and measurement products. Engineering teams around the globe use our systems to develop next generation communication, consumer electronics and computer products.

We are looking for a Technical Training Manager to join our team as a part of our Austin Labs Services Team providing world class training and protocol knowledge to Teledyne LeCroy customers.

This exciting opportunity can expose you new products and technology years before it reaches the consumer market. This position will support our customers in using the industry’s leading-edge test and measurement products for serial protocols. Top engineering teams around the globe use our products to develop and verify next-generation consumer electronics and computer products and we need someone who will provide in-depth training to our customers worldwide. The candidate will work with many teams including the marketing teams, sales teams, engineering teams and test teams as required. The Technical Training Manager will be responsible for continuing to grow a services team focused on providing Expert Protocol training, Advanced Product training, and helping our customers become Experts in their field.  

As Technical Training Manager you will be responsible for planning and developing new classes, delivering classes, and building a roadmap to support new training requirements and delivery methods for the future.  You will have the advantage of a fully developed core curriculum which includes PCIe, USB, NVMe, CXL, Fibre Channel and other classes to support development for future growth. 

In this role, you will be able to grow with us as you work with multiple teams and across departments, including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Application engineering, and Validation teams.  Also, you will have the ability to work with many industry standards organizations to take technical specifications and clearly translate the meaning of those specifications into new classes.  You will be a subject matter expert and will have the ability to continue to grow into new technologies across consumer and enterprise solutions. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver in-depth training sessions from 1-4 days for different protocols that align with Teledyne LeCroy products
    • PCIe, NVMe, USB, SAS, Ethernet, Fibre Channel
  • Develop and Design new training offerings to teach products advanced features and capabilities of Teledyne LeCroy products
  • Manage mult-year training schedule that includes public and private training sessions for our customers
  • Research and create new methods for learning and development
    • Instructor led training
    • eLearning
  • Work with management to determine roadmap for new deliveries
  • Manage additional resources to support customer delivery requirements
    • Direct resources
    • Contract Training resources
  • Create marketing plan to support outbound marketing requirements to support training growth
  • Build strong customer relationships with a focus on providing great products that our customers desire
  • Work with industry standard workgroups to determine training requirements for latest specifications
  • Participation in industry standard events including identifying trade shows and test events that provide the ability to reach new customers and show value of our products.

Educational Requirements

  • 4+ years of working with storage and networking protocols
  • 2+ years supporting learning and development 
  • Minimum of BSc/BA in Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

Experience, Training, Skills, etc.

  • Knowledge of storage and networking protocols and how those protocols are implemented
  • Experience with industry standard specifications and working groups
  • Ability to absorb customer requirements and develop content to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent leadership and organizing skills.
  • Ability to take technical product features and clearly define materials that translate into course content
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, to set and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision and to generate strategic positioning, performance and other detailed reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past.
  • Must be able to travel.
